I've been trying to follow the blue rose path from this genetics doc since v1.

I've got purple x seed yellow and purple x hybrid white, supposedly at least, and one of these crosses keeps giving me pink roses. HOW!?

seed yellow: rr-YY-WW-ss
hybrid yellow: rr-YY-Ww-ss

seed white: rr-yy-Ww-ss
hybrid white: rr-Yy-Ww-ss

purple: rr-yy-ww-ss
hybrid purple: rr-Yy-WW-ss

pink: R*-yy-**-S*

So my crosses are supposedly:
yellow x purple: rr-YY-WW-ss x rr-yy-ww-ss
white x purple: rr-Yy-Ww-ss x rr-yy-ww-ss

HOW am I getting R*-yy-**-S*? Where is the R gene coming from? How is it possible? If my yellows carried a dominant R gene, they'd be orange! Which flower is not what I assume it to be: the purple, the white, or the yellow? I'm tearin my hair out and howlin at the moon, please help.

Even I'm stumped. Do you know which pair is yielding the pink roses? The only one of those combos that even remotely have a chance at pink are the Purple x Seed Yellow because the Seed Yellow is likely not a seed yellow at all and the purple might be a hybrid purple that has genes in S.

Literally the only thing I can think of.
