Hi, idk if this is the right place to ask questions, but I didn't find any other place.

So, it turned out that Henry packed himself up today (2 days earlier than he said he would) and I promised to give him to someone. However this person is offline and probably will be for the whole day and I don't know what can I do to make Henry stay a little longer. Does TTing a few hours back on the same day help?
Please, tell me what should I do! ;<

You can TT a few hours back as long as you do not go before 6 am.

If you go past 6am the game will treat it as a new day and your villager will be gone.

He packed up two days early because you likely time traveled backwards a full day twice. The game recognizes going backwards as 1 day, and the moving date for avillager isn't really the day they specified, but "X" amount of days from the date they told you.

~So lets say it's the 18th

~The villager claims they will be moving out on the 22nd.
What this really means is that they will be moving out in 4 days.

~You TT backwards to the 14th
The game reads this as 1 day has past, the new date for your villagers move out is the 17th (3 days from current date), however, the villager will continue to say they are moving out on the 22nd, but this is no longer the case.

So TTing a few hours back (but before 6 am) will really help? Wow, that's a HUGE relief, because the user I promised to give him to was waiting 3 weeks until he actually decided to move out. ;/
Also, thank you for the other information! ^^

Do not go back to 6am

Let's say it's currently 8pm, you can TT back to 7am.

Personally I like to play it safe and only TT back to 1 pm. This gives me 17 hours before the villager is gone and keeps it on the same day.

Once the game crosses ANY 6am forwards or backwards it counts it as a whole new day, and you will lose the villager.

Yeah I actually forgot to write 'not'. xD I meant to say 'but not before 6 am'. ^^
