My girlfriend and I have been playing on my switch, and she was the first one on the island, giving her special events and actions only she could do; however, she is going on a multi-week long vacation, and I'd like to progress on the same island. Is there any way the non-first resident can gain such status? In other words, can the "mayor" status be changed between players?
