How did your town get corrupted? Did you shut it off while saving or is there a problem with the actual game cartridge? I would find out how your town got corrupted so it doesn't happen again. ^.^

Oh, your 'year old town got corrupted', and you have no idea what happened...?
Most ppl would mentioned what they think happened to their games, but I suppose your case is different there.

So you have been playing for a year, yet you just joined this forum yesterday,
mainly to ask for in-game bells and stuff so you can 'rebuild your town'?
What other forums or sites do you frequent before, because it'd be a good idea to ask for 'help' there too.

Luckily for the players, ACNL in-game bells are really easy to come by, as others already gave you advise on how to, say, obtain bells quickly, not to mention the fact that you've been playing for a year, so I have no doubt that you know your way around things.
Of course, it's your game, if you prefer to wait for others to actually give you all the bells, then go for it.

It would be helpful to include your FC in the sidebar or signature, so those who are interested in helping you can add you as they post their replies. Saves everyone time and it's a common courtesy to do so, especially when you are in for some online play and wi-fi tradings. What are the in-game bells amount that you are looking for? What about other items/villagers?

oh no! I feel so bad for you. when you get the island, just go there during the day and get tropical fruit and sell it at Re-tail. also, at night, catch tons of rare beetles on the palm trees and they get you big bucks! next, go on tours and get lots of medals. then, buy the rare furniture in the shop on the island and sell them. they got me lots of money.
