I don't know, this urge has been here for about a week now. Should I reset, I mean I can likely sell my town since I'm 2 month into it but I'm not really feeling this map anymore.

I don't know what to do!!!!!!

I'm probably not going to reset though, at least not right now.

Just take a break from the game and come back to it. You're clearly torn and only time will tell then you can answer your question yourself.

I think the urge to restart as to to more with my questioning my choice to plot reset. I see towns where villagers are plotted in spots that don't look like they should work but somehow they do and it's making me wonder if I made a mistake in choosing to plot reset instead of just putting paths where I don't want villagers to move and just letting them plot where they may. And my river is starting to annoy me.

Yeah, I think I'm going to do it, it's obvious that it just needs to happen. And I'm going going to do it today because the fireworks show is tomorrow and I want to try to get the lovely phone back.

You keep resetting. I don't know how this game can be so fun for you if ya just keep undoing all your progress.

If you do reset, and especially if you plan on not TTing or trading much etc., then for your own sake take some time to decide on a map this time around! Ignore the fireworks show, mull over what you want your map to be instead. Unless, of course, you'd rather take Nook's bells to have a funner/easier time after your reset.

But, just a personal opinion: I always get a bit tired of my maps after a while. So I second the advice to just take a break and come back to it.

I'm in the same boat. My town is kind of messy (no coherent landscaping, etc) and it feels like a lot of work to fix it from where it is. But I've been playing it for 4 years so it's hard to let go of. Especially with villagers like Marshal and Fauna in town.

On the other hand, Nook is offering me 31 billion bells. Hard to resist. Alternatively I guess I could get a second game.

When you've invested 4 years in a game, I think buying another game for $20 is the least expensive option. After you reset it, there's no undoing that four year progress.
