Help!! Rocks not spawning!

I've spent hours today trying to build a rock garden using the mannequin method (filling every available space on island with a mannequin). At first thought I was successful because as I started time traveling day by day, rocks were spawning in their designated spots. But after the first three, they stopped spawning! I've searched every inch of my island and can guarantee that they haven't spawned anywhere else.

Is there something wrong with my placement? Perhaps the trees or the cliff are in the way? Please help!!

That looks fine to me.

I know you've looked all over, but check again, and maybe don't TT, just wait a full real time day and see what happens, though I TT'd to do mine, but I don't have them all together.

Here's a guide about rock spawning and what blocks it. It looks like the cliff on the bottom is too close; I'm guessing that the cliff extends all the way to the left even though it's out of view in the photo. I'd recommend pushing the cliff back a few spaces, and then you can build them back up once the rocks are in place.

Thank you! I just read that rocks won't spawn where there's visual obstruction, so I believe this is the issue.

If you're still having troubles, did you make sure to divide them into different "square" spaces? There's a maximum you can have, otherwise the rocks may have spawned behind something and are extremely good at hide-and-seek (I spent over an hours looking for two of my rocks that were behind a cliff and tree)

If you're talking about the quadrants, that was determined to be false; there's no maximum number of rocks that can be reached in any given quadrant of the map. You can have all of them in the same area.

Oh wait for real, was that finally changed or something? The rocks absolutely refused to spawn in a single quadrant
edit: I think it was a tree that was blocking my rocks originally? Darn, wondering if I should relocate them again now the 3 quadrant myth is false...

I don't think it was ever changed? Unless there's something else missing, the most common reason for rocks not spawning, in my experience, is just like in this thread; there's a cliff/tree/tall furniture item/building/structure/etc. blocking the spawn. You see in the guide that I linked, there's someone who posted a picture of their rock garden and their map showing that they got all their rocks to spawn in the same quadrant.
