I JUST SPILLED VINEGAR ON MY 3DS (I WAS DRINKING IT, DON'T JUDGE xD) AND YEAH THE BOTTLE TIPPED OVER. I TURNED MY 3DS BACK ON IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE INCIDENT AND THE BOTTOM SCREEN IS TOTALLY FINE BUT THE TOP SCREEN IS MILDLY DIMMY AND I'M AFRAID IT'S GONNA DIM EVEN MORE ;-; THE 3D LIGHT IS NOW DARK GREEN INSTEAD OF BRIGHT GREEN AND THE YELLOW WIRELESS THINGY LIGHT IS DARK YELLOW INSTEAD OF BRIGHT YELLOW ;-; MY 3DS IS IN A BAG OF RICE RIGHT NOW.. WILL THAT HELP AT ALL? IF NOT, WHAT WILL? ;-;-;;-;;

SORRY FOR THE CAPS ;-; ;-;-;-;-;-;-;-

Rice won't actually help much. Just use a blow dryer or something or let it air dry. Only time can tell.

Good luck :)

Wait, vinegar? Ooohkay

Ooh, yikes. Rice might help with water, but vinegar...I have no clue. I don't know how to help, but vinegar might be tougher to get out, so beware.

Unlike water, vinegar is highly acidic and can easily corrode or oxidize electronic components. Don't try to clean it off with water or other types of cleaners - just try to soak up the moisture as best you can, and try to determine whether or not any liquid got inside your 3DS. If so, you may need to take it apart and dry it out. If you decide to do this, make sure you remove the battery first. Good luck and I do hope your 3DS survives. :)

why would you send it in repairs cost lots of money, sometimes near the original price of the 3ds. your warranty won't cover it since it was your fault. clean it with a little spit

If its in warranty it may be covered or receive a discount. Heck I've heard stories of phone reps waiving the fee if you talk to them.

Why would you drink vinegar while playing 3DS O.o
Like what they said rice won't do much I suggest you send it to Nintendo.

Send it in to Nintendo ASAP. Call their customer support number and send it in so they can fix it or replace it. (Cause they actually do that for free) Not having a 3DS for two weeks is better than not having one at all, and if it doesn't work they'll replace it.

It just tastes nice to me o_o

I called it last night and they said they weren't open, I'll call them right now

Well one thing I want to say is that you should never ever turn on a device after it gets wet to "check if it's okay". That just ruins it. Turning it on while it is wet causes it to short out, which is what makes the device get fried and not work anymore. Obviously if anything gets wet at all, whether you power it on in that state or not, it won't be good, but I am pretty sure just trying to dry it immediately and NOT turning it on will increase your chances of it surviving? Unless I am just being stupid here, not exactly sure how electricity works in that respect lol...
