Help please

I exchanged my 3ds at ebgames(Canadian GameStop) for a new one and they moved all my data to the new 3ds sd card for me. I came home and now when I open New Leaf, it tells me to create a new save file. Where did all my old town info go?!? Does anyone know how I can fix this? Please help if anyone knows! I spent a lot of time on my game and it really sucks seeing it all gone.

Well, you'd only really have a problem if you had digital so yeah, digital.
I don't know what would have happened, but I can give you some of my old tools if you want! And when I sell my turnips soon, I'll give you some of my profits.

Yeah digital copy :S Thank you so much!!! I'm going to ask around first before I make a new file. I hope someone knows how to fix this!
