Help placing trees! (Advice needed)

So I'm still working in my town and since I'm really bad at placing trees/paths/bushes I thought I'd ask for help! I really want a forest/fairytale vibe to my town and I can't seem to get that. So is there anyone who would visit my town and give me some advice?
You may give advice on placing pwps, trees, bushes, flowers and trees.

I usually plant trees in this pattern:

For a forest/fairytale theme, I recommend planting different flowers in a pattern to make it look wild, but still organized. For example:

Row 1: (Purple rose)(White tulip)(Purple rose)(White tulip)...
Row 2: (Red Pansy)(Pink lily)(Red pansy)(Pink lily)...
Row 3: (White tulip)(Purple rose)(White tulip)(Purple rose)...
Row 4: (Pink lily)(Red pansy)(Pink lily)(Red pansy)...
Repeat...
