I didn't really want Stitches, either, but when I was resetting for my 7th villager I got him and decided to give him a try, and I ended up loving him. :3 he's a sweetie. I just got his pic today.

Stitches always reminded me of those old stuffed animals you had as a kid and took all over with you, getting dirty and torn, stitched up by your mom after a day at the park XD That's sweet to think about <3
Papi is SO cute! The best horse, in my opinion. I think his design is also very simple yet fits well with the horses~
Cranston is just cool looking~ I love birds. Cranes are really interesting an unique, in real life as well. Also, I love his name. Dunno why.. His eyes are just slightly buggy, is all. XD

I would recommend Stitches but your afraid of him just because he went through a serious injury and had to get stuffed and stitched up.
Don't pick Cranston. He's ugly.
Rodeo might be too dark for you.
I love Doc because he was my best friend in GameCube. And I loved Pudge in WW.
