Help on getting Ruby back?

One of my favorite villagers Ruby left after being gone for a little bit. I understand how to get them back, but need some guidance. Really sad because I don't have an easy way to cycle 16 villagers because I have 9 other villagers to worry about leaving as well if I try to get her back. How long did it take you guys to get back a villager? Can someone tell me how they went about doing it without risking others leaving? I appreciate it guys! Thanks so much.

Actually, I'm still working on getting Merengue and Diana's 16 villager cycle, and they moved out last year Merengue's at 6 and Diana's at 5. There's also Marshal, but he's at 1 and there's no chance at getting him back...

The way I did it was either go and get a villager that's for free in the Villager Trade Plaza or get them from the campsite. Then you either TT to get them to ping you or just wait...

i think you were around while i was frantically cycling for a couple days to get 3 of my bear cubs back. here was my method, you can use it if you want but if you do it another way that's fine.
also, since you have 9 villagers and not 8 there'll be no random move-ins so you'll have to utilize the campsite.

make sure you have beautiful town enabled just so you don't have to waste time watering your flowers and stuff.

1. Time travel to the next day. Make sure it's after 11 am so all your villagers are awake.
2. Check your campsite. If there's a villager inside, convince them to move in.
3. Talk to all the villagers you want to keep to see if anyone is moving soon. If not, they will say something about the effects of rumors. There's a guide somewhere about exactly what they'll say depending on their personality, but I don't have a link to it right now.
4. If a villager is thinking of moving, get them to ping you ASAP. Reject their request unless you want them to leave.
5. Keep time traveling day by day, talking to your villagers to find out who's moving and who's not. Once your 10th move-in wants to leave, time travel ahead 6 days and they'll be gone. Then repeat.

i don't know if this'll help you get through the cycle but you can try!!

I don't think it's worth it. It's apparently very rare for the 10th villager to want to move out, and you'd have to do it 16 times. I've had a number of villagers move in and out of my town and I've never had the 10th one move out before. Not worth the risk, in my opinion.

Thanks for all advice guys, going to say goodbye to her. Just so time consuming and very tedious, just want to play the game I guess . Love yall once again, thanks! Hopefully she'll at least come to my town n' stuff.
