this thread is in progress! in the near future, i plan to use this thread for a "gallery" of our progress on the game, and getting critique on the progress from anyone who wants to.
hello guys! so, i'm not sure if anyone actually wants to help on this, but i am working on making a cute, lighthearted indie rpg game with about 7-ish friends so far. it will be free when we release it, and we plan that it'll take at least 6 months to complete. a problem we keep running into is that there's hardly ever enough of us online to actually discuss anything or make concrete decisions. so, on the group's behalf, we are specifically looking for 1-2 more people who can do one or more of the following:
- help with tilesets: i'm currently working on sprite art, but i don't know if i'm going to be good at tileses. that said, i need someone who can split the work of making tilesets, backgrounds, etc with me and whoever else on the team wants to help.
-concept art and plotting: all group members are supposed to help with plot, but we do need more help on concept art. by this, i mean one more person to draw ideas for rooms, outfoor areas, additional characters, etc
we also have a couple of requirements!!
- ages 10-17, preferably: we're not trying to exclude anyone, this is only a preference! the majority of us already involved are 14-15, and we've decided that since we often get off-topic and just chat, this isn't going to be a super-professional thing. since we're putting together a team that's supposed to be really friendly, we think this is best!
- have a skype account: we do almost everything over skype text chat.
- be online a few times a week, for a couple hours: as i previously stated, our biggest problem so far is not being able to do anything because of a lack of people online! you have to available
that's it! you don't need any experience in game making. also, we won't be choosing everyone who messages us to be in the group and help first-hand, we wanna pick just the right people! but, once this thread is complete and converted into a gallery, we will be continuously posting our progress and looking for critiqu, and we want help from everyone on that!
