Help me with map planning!

Hey there!

I'm starting a new town and being more careful with my PWP positions and I would like ask your opinion about this particular subject.

I want to build the café next to City Hall. Here are the screenshots for the City Hall and the position (market with the yellow path) where the Café should be.

Now, I would like to align the two buildings but when I speak with Isabelle about the PWP I get a little bit confused. The thing is, when I see how the Café would look like it's ok by me, I see the building border aligns with the City Hall. But, I have to make it ON the side path for it to have the same Y position. As you can see, the bottom left corner of the Cafe has the path that I layed out before, I am guessing it's because the ornaments and stuff. On the top border, the two buildings align well.

Am I explaining myself well enough? I guess this would be the right choice over respecting all the yellow paths... I wanted to check with you guys before going through the project since I can't demolish the cafe afterwards.

Yeah, the Cafe and the Town Hall are different shapes because of the ornaments out front of the Cafe. Town Hall is exactly 3x5 with a space in front for the door, but the Cafe is mostly 4x5. There's one empty space in the front of the cafe on the left side, but the rest are filled by the sign and pots. So it'll be impossible to line them up exactly. I would probably do like you suggested and make sure the buildings themselves aligned and not worry about the ornaments in front.

So we can say the 4th row is saved for the ornaments? That's what I though!
