Help me understand something about villager move in

Hi!

So, I tried to research this a bit online and am still confused.

I had a villager move out. So I went to the island. Found Pekoe and invited her. The empty plot now shows her name on it.

Then I checked campsite! There’s Antonio, seems cool do I convinced him to move. He picked Cyd so I said yes.

My question is, did I mess up? Will both the campsite villager and the island villager eventually move to my island? Or will it just be one?

I’m not 100% sure on this, but I believe based on the order you had them moving in, then it should be all right? Pekoe already had her name on the plot before you invited Antonio. If Pekoe is already planted in the last neighbor’s place, then Antonio should replace Cyd come 1-2 days. I think I’ve had neighbors move in like this simultaneously, but I honest to God can’t remember... LOL.

One of them will move in, and then the other one will move in after a day or two.

Yeah, they don't cancel each other out but they wont move at the same time.
