I'm pretty new to this, but what does talking to someone else's villagers do? I've seen a lot of people request that they not be spoken to and I was just curious. ^^;

From what I know, it might make their villager move to your town if they are in boxes or thinking about moving. I definitely don't want anyone to end up with any of my villagers, especially the ones that they would consider "awful", haha.

No, this isn't true ^^ This only happens after a villager has moved out of your town, and the other person doesn't need to have talked to that villager. Coming to their town or having them over is enough to make a moved-out villager move into the other person's town if you have 9 or less villagers.
