i'm going to start a new town tomorrow and i was hoping for some input on what i should name it. i want it to have a very natural, foresty theme with lots of cedar trees. the names i'm thinking about right now are wilde, fernwild, mosswild, and foxglove, but i'm open to other suggestions!

i like fernwild and mosswild, i also think names of flowers could be fun or latin names of them. like zinnia or arumlily

Well you could also use different tree and plant names for town names or I guess even the villagers/mayor. Say for example give the villagers names like Oak, Cedar, Maple ect. Or even use those for the town name.

I gave it some thought real quick and came up with these.

Wych Elm: A type of tree, and it goes with your username.
Wychwood: Same idea as the above.
Pinecove: Pinecone + cove
Sylvana/Sylvania: From sylvan, meaning "of the woods."
Decidua: Deciduous trees
Cedrus: Cedar

Of the ones you listed, I'd choose Fernwild or Wilde.

Out of your names, I like Foxglove the best. It just sounds really interesting, woodsy, but not like you're intentionally being mystifying. I also like the sound of Idlewood, even though it's a little bit pretentious ha ha. Names with the prefixes/suffixes "shire" or "fen" would sound woodsy and wild as well, or at least a bit more antiquated.

hmm out of the names you picked i like foxglove ( but it may be just because i like foxes, lol )
