Help me choose a theme!

Planning to restart my copy of ACNL, and I wanted a coherent theme to my town. I also want to reset for Perfect Apples, minimal rocks and do active planning for PWPs at the map picking stage.

I was thinking of one of these towns:

1. Pawnee - a Parks & Recreation themed town (4 humans: Leslie (Mayor), Ben, April, and Andy)
2. Ingary - a Howl's Moving Castle themed town (2 humans: Howl (Mayor), Sophie)

Pawnee:
- more humorous I suppose?
- I don't know if I want all 4 humans or I will pick and choose after I create Leslie and plan out the PWPs
- more room to do different PWPs (solar panels etc.)

Ingary:
- I only have 2 humans so more space because I don't need to build 4 houses
- more cohesive theme (fairy tale and that's it) but might get bland
- accuracy in my theme is easier achieve (e.g. the town hall's Fairy Tale remodel is very fitting)

Villagers won't change for the most part; I have about 8 villagers I really like and will leave the last 2 spaces to let randoms move in and out naturally before I settle on the last 2.

I'm wondering which sounds better? I think Pawnee might be more unique as fairy tale towns are really common (but are also really pretty...), but Pawnee is more difficult to get right while Ingary would be easier.

It would be interesting to see a Howls moving castle themed one! It is kinda different from the other fairytale towns Pawnee might be great too, since you're basically free to do anything you like with the town. Just maybe you might run out of ideas since theres nothing much to base on compared to Howls one

True... I think Howl is easier to plan aesthetically. Pawnee might end up being all over the place and end up not being a theme at all! :O

i'm personally in favor of Pawnee... hehehe
i mean, you could have April and Andy in wedding outfits and Leslie and Ben dressed like office-y nerds, you have 4 characters to store paths to use, and you can use a mixture of camping and park themed PWPs and Modern PWPs which would be really cool

but both ideas are really clever!

I like both but I choose Pawnee. It'd be fun pretending to be Leslie and trying to get the villagers to be the crazy citizens. You can have a Wamapoke casino and a paunch burger!

Haha Brewsters would be JJ's I think. The nice local where people go to eat breakfas- I mean, relax. XD

Pawnee would make more sense as a town, simply because the villagers are usually so whimsical and random with their demands that it would fit more with the theme.

I'm also entertaining the idea of buying another copy of ACNL when I finish one town and do the other. That's way down the line lol.

I love both too, but I would LOVE to see a Parks and Rec town more, I reckon. It works so well because of the overlap, and Leslie getting to actually be mayor, and making her town. What a fantastic idea!

I just don't know about making the other residents after Ben, April and Andy. I feel like you could make the houses correspond with different Pawnee landmarks / attractions? Maybe make a manican that can be Ben in the Leslie house, and a manican that can be April or Andy in the Andy / April house?

Also, I want to see a room dedicated to the Cones of Dunshire. TY.

haha I actually wanted to make a 1 room house respectively for April and Andy, and April would have the minimalist theme because she hates everything and Andy would be some kind of zen dojo because he's Johnny Karate. XD

I don't have a plan for Ben's house though... but it sounds really hilarious to have him as a mannequin in Leslie's house, I have to say. XD Maybe I'll put mannequin Ben in a room with a ton of traffic cones.

I wanted to say thanks to everyone who replied and gave me their points of views; I ultimately decided to go for a Pawnee themed town because while it would be more difficult to make, that'd be one of the challenges I'd find fun. Ingary would be really pretty but I'd more or less know what to do from the start (maybe I'll make it on a second copy one day!). Also the attraction of Pawnee is that I can let villagers come and go and that would seem very natural and part of the whole theme, whereas Ingary would be much more static and I would want to have 10 permanent villagers ASAP.

I'm personally a huge fan of both Parcs and rec and Howl's moving castle, but I think for a ACNL town I'd go for Howl's moving castle :3
