I don't have Change Startup Programs. I can always do MSConfig and remove it from my Startup but I don't see it.

I looked in Add & Remove closely and I see I have Gabpath.EXE and I have RESULTDNS too.

If you have a spare computer and CD I suggest you install linux to safely pluck it from the system.

he has the windows installation discs.

linux is for those wannabe computer nerds/haxxorz, or for those who are so hardcore they don't even use a gui.

or cheap mofos. <3

I wanted linux badly and failed to install it/get the internet to work with it, so I stick with windows because it works.

You should stay off the "legitimate site" you got the virus from.

Wink wink.

Wink.
How about you stop being a rooster and actually read what it does. It attacks site with Flash and that is how the virus is installed.

Currently I'm using Malware Bytes and scanning. It's came up with 8 threats and has scanned over 80,000 files. I'm going to try and start up Normal mode and disable the task while booting up then scan again.

*double post*

I've dual-boot my Windows XP Desktop to get Linux. (I got a free disc when the offer was going on. I think they still continue it too.)

I find it ironic that sometimes, when other members have something serious that they're talking about, you come up with some smart-ass remark or something to the like, yet, now you're in the same situation and you're telling them to answer your question or *censored.3.0* off. You call them a prick when they don't answer seriously or answer idiotically, yet you do it as well.

Quote for truth.

And I've had something like that before, and the only way I was able to get it off was with an anti-virus program.

It's like he wants us to come over to his house and fix his problem because he's the almighty god and we are his mere servants.

But the problem is Ricano is that I only one virus program on that laptop. I can't install anything because my internet is getting blocked by the AV Security Suite aka Fake virus program.

I've had a similar virus. I just reinstalled Windows and it worked. For your case scenario I don't know :S .

Well if you have linux then go into and look up what spots it infects.

Delete those files because it can't infect linux so no worries bro

Be sure to clean the registry and to a really thorough wipe.

Afterwards if you can't find the re instillation discs just mount them (y)

This has been fixed. What I did was get the Spyware Doctor installation and put that on my USB. I put the USB back into my laptop and ran the installation. After that i put in a key and scanned the laptop for any trojans, worms, etc. The scan took about three hours and found 19 infected files. Spyware Doctor deleted the infected files and I also scanned another time just to make sure Spyware Doctor didn't find anything else besides those files. Happened to be though that it found 2 more infected files.

I appreciate you guys for helping me. I will be giving Rorato (sp?) and beehdaubs each 1,000 TBT bells. They helped me tremendously on this big virus.

@NikoKing
I was going to do that however I couldn't because I didn't have the disk to install Windows.

Next time it happens just go into safe mode (Restart+f8 I believe) and run a system restore to an earlier time

The point for System Restore is to allow the user to restore the system's configuration to be in a previous state. In some cases the virus or spyware will be "undone" as part of the process. But can't remove the infected files and it is easier to get infected again.
