Help I can't get my camper to move in! :(

Maple is currently camping in my town and is one of my favourite villagers. I don't really buy into the 'dreamie' thing, but if I did she would be one of mine!

I really want her to move in, but a new villager has just moved in (uninvited) and nobody will move out.

Is there any way to increase your villager limit or get someone to move out quickly? And if I can't get her to move in today will she be back camping again or is she lost forever?

Is there a simple way to get villagers to move out. I'm trying to make a couple leave, hitting them with my net and making them fall into pits and generally ignoring them (hasn't been working so well as I've had lost item quests and cafe forcing me to talk to them). Anything more I can be doing to speed up the process?

Alternatively, would I be able to get someone to take Maple into their town for me to get at a later date or can they not get villagers from other campsites?

If your town is full of 10, that villager will not move in~

Unfortunately, all you need to do now is get someone to move out and make it 9 villager, and don't worry they re not lost forever. Still possible to show up at your town =x

The whole "act mean to the villagers you want to leave" idea doesn't actually work and in fact does the exact opposite of what you intend. The best thing to do is just completely ignore the villagers you want to leave your town. Other than that though it's just random and you have to hope to get lucky.

There is no way to increase the limit beyond 10 to answer your other question. I wish there was a better system in place to get rid of unwanted villagers but unfortunately we are stuck with it for this game =/

You can't get anyone else to visit your campsite and convince the villager to move into your friends town, only you can convince them to move into your town. The campsite seems to be completely random, so there will be another maple that will likely show up sometime in the future. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we're all stuck in the same boat.

Awww that sucks. I got my Maple from campsite and she is too adorable <3 She will never leave

Anyway, if you want to get rid of a villager, ignoring and hitting doesn't really do much. In fact, I don't think there is a trick to getting them out. I treat the villagers I don't want like how I usually treat the ones I do like. They'll soon ask to move.

And no, you can't get villagers from other people's campsites...sorry about that. I hope you get Maple soon though, you'll love her! Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your help. Sad to see her go, especially as Bob has announced today that he'll be leaving, just not soon enough!! But hopefully she'll be back again soon all your answers are great so yeah thank you
