Help finding fossils?

Hey,
For the past few weeks I've only found 2 fossils everyday (the ones that I keep digging and who keep respawning in different places each day), but I haven't been able to find the other 2. I know they can be hidden behind buildings, trees etc and also I know you can use the "up" arrow to hide/see behind some elements when you're close to them, but even with all of that I haven't been able to find them.

I've seen some people ask for dream codes of people who couldn't find them either so that they can look by themselves, so I'll give mine if anyone is willing to look as well.

Maybe I'm just blind and they've been in front of my eyes all this time when I would do my usual paths/routine but I thought I'd give it a try by posting here x)

Make you you have empty tiles for them to spawn.

If you do, then they are just hiding. It has happened to me many times, then I'd finally find them at different times of day, when they are easier to see.

The only sure fire way is to comb every tile of your town, and lay patterns down as you go. Removing flowers also, until you find it.

It might be behind a flower, bush, tree, or even a house.

I want to cry.

I decided to do YET AGAIN a whole tour of my town, slowly, looking in every corner, change of color/texture, next to my countless number of flowers, buildings etc. Nope, nothing.

Now, let me tell you that I have a row of a few (innocent) bushes on the very bottom/middle part of my map (on the cliff basically) that have been here like, forever, I think I planted them only a few days after I started all over again.
Since I had never "lost" fossils for that long, and since you can't "press up" to make them disappear (like trees, buildings) I never really thought they'd be here because most of the time you can't see behind them so I guess I just thought nothing could really spawn here.

But this time I thought "eh, I'm gonna dig right behind because at this point I just have nothing to lose."

I feel so stupid because now it seems logical I should've checked there eventually but oh man

At least I'm relieved now. I'll be able to find 4 new fossils everyday and if I can't find one then I'll know they're probably behing bushes

I literally wondered for days, weeks now, I still can't believe I finally found them and that it was THAT stupid :')
(i destroyed a bush while trying to dig behind it btw lol rip)

They do like to hide behind bushes.
I've uncovered many a lost fossil there. ^_^

Oh, man. Sorry you lost a bush, but fossils do like to hide behind them. I wish you could see behind them by pressing up like you can with trees. Usually, if I make my way around town once and don't find everything, I go around and dig behind every bush until I find what I'm missing.

I used to lay down lucky clovers or flowers behind bushes and trees so nothing could spawn there.

Also, once I was done with the fossils I took the last four unidentified fossils down to my old private beach, and buried them there. I also did that with a pitfall seed.

They won't spawn as long as they are buried somewhere. ^_^

The flowers/clovers thing is a good idea! I actually forgot/didn't realize you could replant clovers? I know it'll destroy it if you pick one that isn't a four leaf, but I don't think I ever tried to replant a four leaf one haha

And yup, I've been doing that with the pitfall seed since pretty much the beginning, although I still like to get all the fossils and sell them even after completing the museum (if "keeping them all buried somewhere so they don't respawn" is what you meant?), but I'm guessing now that I'm sure they can hide behind bushes there shouldn't be any lost fossil anymore!

Yep, that's what I meant. If you ever get tired of digging them up it's good to know you can stop them respawing.

I had natural dirt paths and I didn't like searching on the grass I did have, for fossils once I had completed the museum. ^_^

Yeah, my mom also had a lot of problems with fossils popping up behind bushes too, so don't forget to look behind those. Another area to look around for as well would be the top part of your town by the train tracks. They can hide near there as well and if you have trees lining up along there, it makes it even harder to spot them. :/
