Help: amiibo card issues

Hi! So I have a amiibo card cot Muffy, and I've tried moving her in, I've previously moved in 3 others that has worked fine!, however whenever I go to invite Muffy it says I get an answering machine message and that she's busy.
Someone said this is likely because Muffy is trying to move in from the void?

I've tried time traveling by 4 days (checking in each day) and I've gone up to 10 days already and she still won't move in. I have 10 villagers already and I'm worried I kick one out it will glitch?
Does anyone have any advice?

UPDATE: I let one villager move out and was able to trade for Muffy and get her on my island. Unfortunately her amiibo card never worked, and I do a lot of trading through nookazon so it's more than likely someone from there had her and moved her out! Though, I never talked to her everything I'm seeing is saying she was possibly going to move in but I was afraid to attempt letting her come naturally as the move out process is stressful.
I'm so sorry to anyone else dealing with this!!!

10 is the max amount of villagers you can have so she will not move in until someone else leaves, the glitches have been patched so you dont need to worry about that =)

If you use an amiibo card (previously to the newest update at least!!) You can still ask them to move in and It will force another villager out (of your choosing)
Did they patch that so it doesn't work anymore?

no! they don't they just fixed the glitch!

I don't know but in late April I used my Genji Amiibo to kick Vivian out and had no issues! This was also my second time using his Amiibo and third total (Cause I let a friend use the Amiibo to get him in her town as well) And I had purchased it from Ebay!

it still works but since muffy is in your void then I dont think she can visit your campsite, at least from what Ive heard.

I think they must have re-implemented the void in this game with the now-patched glitches and how the amiibos work. I was worried about this happening so I had been reading on it, and it seems like Muffy is in your void (in a queue of voided villagers you've come across), and you'll have to go through them until she moves in. :/

It seems like a weird design decision given that people spent real money on Amiibo. It feels like Amiibo should be able to preempt that void queue.

yeah I think so! Its frustrating because I've never actually had her on my island, campsite or come across her or even talked to her at a friends island. So I bought the amiibo and now it's kinda useless it seems

You can only move camper in if there is an empty plotted land. You must kick someone off the island.

Yeah, my friend wanted my Marshal, and I can Amiibo summon him, but since I've traded a bunch/had people over for turnips/etc, and Marshal is a popular character, I feel like I have probably picked him up in my void at some point. :|

Sorry to hear you're going through this. You can still adopt Muffy from someone else, at least, so I hope you can find her that way!

That's how you could clear voids in ACNL. I couldn't find any concrete evidence that this still works.

Ugh this is so confusing I'm getting a Melba amiibo at some point and it's like there's no consistent accurate info on how amiibos work anymore. All I know is you used to be able to invite them to your campsite, they'd ask you to craft a thing, you invite them back twice for two more days and then if you already have 10 they can kick another villager out to move in. So the whole kicking other villagers out, that's not a thing anymore?

In fact now that I think about it, no one has visited my campsite in a good while, probably since my last tenth villager moved in... interesting.

It still works that way. The problem is sometimes you try to scan a card and the animal says they are busy and can’t come over. Nobody seems to know exactly why this happens.

I had this happen w my Norma amiibo. I was never able to fix it unfortunately. Had to get her through trade instead :/

Cannot invite amiibo cos there are “Busy moving”

Okay I’m trying to invite cherry with a amiibo I have successfully invited her twice but for some reason I can’t invite her for a 3rd time I get a answering machine on the ABD machine “I can’t talk right now I’m busy moving” so I’m guessing I picked up someone cherry somewhere and there trying...

I have been cycling amiibos and I haven't experience this, it was Colton, Marshal, Colton, Marshal, Flora, Marshal and finally Flora. The only voided one was Colton.
