I wasn't sure if this belongs in the Nintendo forum or this one since this game is on multiple platforms and only recently came out for the switch. Anyway is anyone playing this game? I just started playing it yesterday after I bought it and I am really enjoying it so far! I think that it's really cute and I love all the Sanrio characters that I have met so far. I did buy the Deluxe Version so that it can save me time on certain things and not having to wait for items as well.

I'm having a lot of fun, I've only been playing it for a few days but I'm already having a lot of fun. I'm not trying to play it obsessively so it won't feel like a chore which is what happens sometimes when I first get a game and really enjoy it. I've opened the Nature Reserve (but don't have all the levels/doors open) and did the haunted mansion quest as well. I just got to Kuromi's friendship level where I can do the quest to be able to dive in the water.

I love being able to change my appearance whenever and get some cute outfits.

I'm waiting for reviews and for a sale cause I feel like this type of game is a bit overpriced for what it is. However, I'm definitely getting it the minute it goes on sale. It looks adorable and I love Sanrio!

I'm planning to get it eventually, it looks really cute and fun. While I'm debating on what to get, does anyone know if the Steam and Switch versions are different or one is better? Regular version or deluxe?

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is very fun! I was unsure at first when it pertained to buying it, due to how pricy it seemed to me. When I played it on Apple Arcade for a bit, I got bored fast. Probably because it was on my phone; which is something I'm always using for social media and whatnot ><
But since it's on PC now.. I'm really enjoying it! It stinks that my favorite (Pompompurin) isn't the easiest to level up friendship with, early on in the game anyways. At least there's my baby Pochacco! I also love Hello Kitty a lot c: I love making her Apple Pies, lol.

I know the price really pushes people away, so if you really want to wait until it's on sale; I say go for it. I'm just impulsive and ended up purchasing it anyways.
I have about 5 hours in the game so far, and I find it easy to pass lots of time in it xD I love collecting the materials, too. Such as sand-dollars, sticks, pineapples, coconuts, etc.

I know when it comes to playing on PC versus the Switch.. whenever I open the game on Steam, it tells me a controller is recommended for a more comfortable and easier gaming experience. Although, I just play without one. I use my keyboard xD But there are times I feel like a controller works better when playing on PC. The movement controls are kind of complicated, like- when you're trying to take a turn while you're walking, it's difficult. I feel like using a joystick on a controller would make it twenty times easier. I always get nervous I'll fall off the cliff when I'm in the puzzle rooms!
So, if you don't want to deal with that- I either recommend the Switch version, or having a controller handy if you decide to get the Steam / PC version! :33

When it comes to Standard or Deluxe.. I heard the Deluxe version just gives you a ton of extra items from previous events? So, I personally wouldn't go for the deluxe edition.. unless if you want extra items and clothes ^^ There's a couple videos on Youtube explaining the difference and whether it's worth it or not. I may.. end up buying it >_> Unsure. I already have the standard edition, so I don't know if it'll let me purchase the Deluxe? T^T

Anyways, I really do enjoy this game. I've been waiting for it to come out on another platform for sooo long!

I’m having a lot of fun with it, I have it on IOS because my Switch is broken currently I love interacting with all the Sanrio characters! I’ve been a fan since I was a kid and my piano teacher had an obsession with Hello Kitty that she passed down to me-

If I see it at a good price then I definitely will get the game. I love Hello Kitty and the other Sanrio characters and this game reminds me of NH which isn’t a bad thing.

Played with the free Apple Arcade subscription and enjoyed it. Maybe I will pick it up again if I feel like it and if it is on sale or if I'm interested in having another Apple Arcade sub. Idk if I should go back to the Apple or try the Switch version since the Apple version has progress.

I just bought Hello Kitty Island Adventures on my switch. I'm so glad they got it on the switch because I wanted to get the game on my phone, but it was only available for apple users (I'm an android user).

Ok I got the standard version of the game on Steam, because of game performance and the achievements. Sounds like the deluxe items are optional and require extra effort to unlock, so I'll hold off on the DLC for now. A controller works well for this game. It's just the sort of comfy game I enjoy. There appears to be lots to do and I immediately sunk a few hours into it. Hello Kitty and her friends are so adorable

I like buying physical copies of games and saw it doesn't come out till March. It's also $95!!!! Which is so expensive like why??????

i was originally going to buy this on release day, but i've seen mixed reviews. some people say they enjoy it, others say it's grindy and you get time-gated a lot. it's also ridiculously expensive for what's ultimately a mobile port imo, so if i do ever buy it, it won't be until it goes on sale for a decent amount. i have several other games on my steam wishlist that i'd rather spend the money on, and plenty that i already struggle to find the time for

I was gonna buy it right away but the deluxe version costs $77.99 canadian before taxes so that's just wild. I got the sims 1 & 2 instead for now cause that dropped unexpectedly. I will get hello kitty island adventure eventually though

On Christmas Day I ordered the Deluxe Edition with the Eshop card my son gave me. I do play games on more than one profile so it's a good deal.
Started it on release day, taking my time and having alot of fun. The Deluxe Items unlock later in the game. Got the deluxe crafting items on Monday and should get the Deluxe Seasonal Event items during the weekend.

A Hello Kitty Island Adventure Reddit post said Nintendo sent an email offering the Deluxe DLC for $20 US for players that purchased the base game.

So.. I ended up taking the plunge and got the Deluxe 'DLC'. It's pretty nice if you want extra items to help you in the game :3
There's three item bundles that come with the Deluxe Edition; and I will say this now-- you have to complete specific quests in order to obtain these bundles. That is my ONLY gripe with it, lol.

There's a crafting item bundle, that gives you quite a generous amount of.. y'know, crafting stuff. Sticks, rubber, iron, and 50 of each dye. I think that was very nice because I really like dyeing my clothes pink I'm a pink girlie, what can I say? It sucks that whenever the game resets for the day, and I go to Tuxedosam's shop.. there aren't ANY pink clothing items. I have to buy what I want and dye it pink T^T One day, I hope to log on and see a cute pink outfit in his shop so I don't have to waste my dyes xD

There's also a starter item bundle. Which includes Friendship Blossoms and Bouquets.. The Friendship Blossoms reset the gifts you can give for a SINGULAR friend/character. The Bouquets reset the amount of gifts you can give to everyone for that day. And the starter item bundle gives you Strawberry Crates as well! Which are used for upgrades or fixing the vacation island homes.

Then there's the event bundle; which is probably my favorite. It gives you a TON of unique stuff from past events in the game, since it came out for iOS in 2023 and was exclusively on iOS until very recently I love the cute clothes and furniture items they give you from this bundle. I immediately went to the mirror to change into a super cute outfit

This game is super fun and the community is overwhelmingly kind. I'm in the community Discord server and everyone there is so positive and sweet. If anyone ever wants to play together, just let me know :3 I play on PC, so I unfortunately can't play with Switch or iOS players T^T
