Having several villagers that are the same animal?

I have a very mixed town.

I've got two cats, one crocodile, a hamster, a mouse, a frog, a dog, a sheep and some kind of bird.

I think it'd be funny if Animal Crossing had an option where cats would attack the mice and stuff. Dogs would be mean to cats and bully them, and crocodiles would "eat" pretty much everything that moves.

...Animal Crossing: Free-For-All ROM now available! Jk...

Ugghh I have 3 cats (Tangy, Mitzi, Punchy) two deer (Fauna and Erik) two hamster (Hamlet and Soleil) an anteater (Cyrano), a dog (Walker) and an octopus (Zucker)... I feel like Mayor of a zoo with all these weird friggi'n animals... >.<

I had 4 bears (Charlise, Poncho, Chow, and Klaus) all in my town but Klaus finally moved out. The only one I semi enjoy is Poncho.

Right now I only have one of each that are in my town; Freya the wolf, Flora the ostrich/flamingo, Mott the lion, Chevre the goat, Shari the monkey, Cookie the dog, Chadder the mouse, Tangy the cat, Zucker the octopus, and Curt the bear. o:

i'm getting bob and lolly pretty soon, so i'll have a bunch of catttsss <33333

I have 2 hamsters, Flurry and Hamphrey. Both are my favorite ones and I'm glad I have them c: ill have 2 cats soon when Rudy moves in. Ill then have Rudy and Punchy

All of my villagers are different, none of them are the same species. I would personally prefer to keep it that way if I can. Though I'll admit it's cool to see some people doing an one animal only village.

4 dogs.
Shep, Benjamin, Cookie and Marcel.

I want Cookie and Marcel to be on their way though.

I beleive my original 5 consisted of two Deer - Beau and Bam, but other than that I have a diverse group of animals.

1 Wolf
1 Frog
1 Ostrich/Flamingo
1 Squirrel
1 Alligator
1 Mouse
1 Octopus
1 Dog
1 Deer

I currently have two pigs and two deer. I don't really want more than one of each animal, though.

I have two koalas and two mice.
And then there's:
1 eagle
1 penguin
1 frog
1 pig
1 cow
and 1 crow.

A nice, diverse selection, if I do say so myself. :)

Yep, frogs
it kind of happened by chance. I already had 3 frogs and then decided I wanted to make a whole town of them.

I have three wolves right now and a new wolf just moved in xD I am not doing this on purpose either which is the weirdest part.

Deer and horses, through luck and love.
Sheer luck got me 3 in my first 10 villagers. Then recently I got another copy of ACNL through the promotion and while resetting for that town layout I got a town with Fauna and Diana (already had) and then Lopez moved in the next day. 8D
So now I've got Fauna, Bruce, Zell and Diana in my main town, and Lopez moved over to my second town to hold waiting for someone to leave main.

Then I have Ed and Winnie who I done the reset trick to get them into my main town, my second town started with Roscoe and Annalise and Clyde moved in himself. And the third town randomly got Ed and Winnie again!

To summarise it clearer:
Main town: Zell, Fauna, Bruce, Diana, Ed and Winnie
2nd town: Zell (again), Lopez, Roscoe, Annalise, Clyde
3rd town (to be deleted when sister starts playing): Ed and Winnie again, and there was another Diana that moved.

I guess it wasn't as strange in the Gamecube version to have 3 cats, 2 sheep, and 2 squirrels, becaus you could have up to 15 villagers, but when you have up to 10...you need to be more selective! I do think it's a cool idea to have a town of all of one species.

I just didn't know if the game works against you to make sure you have diverse villager types and personalities. Seems like my two cranky characters are the first to talk about moving.
