I haven't which kinda surprises me. My house is placed diagonally to the plaza and I often felt a bit unsure about it. I thought about moving it a few times, but in the end I didn't do it. Now when I think about new places where I could move it to, I'm realizing that I actually feel pretty content with where it is.
Yes, twice! Once to move to the other side of the river and the second time after I terraformed a little nook for it... now it is still on the ground floor (?) of my island... but I like it and am not gonna move it again (it is also in this specific place due to the theming of my island. I am recreating the sanctuary of Despoina in Lykosoura - ancient Greek stuff - and put it in the place of the temple area for Artemis).
I surprisingly haven't! My whole island has formed itself pretty organically, and I did kinda build around what I already had sometimes. My map isn't very planned out, and I still have many things in the same place as it was when I first started. The only buildings I've moved with an actual purpose in mind are Nooks Cranny, the Able Sisters, and also 3 villager houses.
I've been thinking about planning out my map a bit more but idk, I'll do that once I'm bored with it I guess. Sometimes things don't work very plan like paths or something, but then I just kinda go around something and it looks cute again lol. I feel like when walking around my island you can feel that it has been terraformed a certain way, but it also still formed itself very organically!
I haven’t moved my house but I am honestly tempted to do what some have done and put it on a cliff or on the beach or elsewhere in order to make a beautiful garden arrangement and really go for the grand look. Currently all houses, mine and the villagers are in a fenced and hedge villa set up that I made to keep everyone in one spot for convenience. There is a middle garden in it. Idk don’t want to shake that up but could be worth it just to shake things up
I've moved it only once so far. I saw pics on Reddit where people were making upper level decks for their houses and I wanted to do that for my own house but I couldn't have done that without making some major changes to my river and I wanted to keep the river as untouched as possible, so I moved my house to where it is now.
I put my house in the absolute WORST spot when I first started my island and had to move it twice since then. Right now it's in its final place, at the highest cliff on my island and I'm finally happy with where it's placed.
I've only moved it once thus far. I put it on an upper cliff once I unlocked terraforming. For my playthrough of the initial game though, I had it really close to my shops. Now it's quite a walk to do everything, but I've still enjoyed it and haven't really wanted to change it up quite yet.
I moved mine to a place where I definitely wanted it, designed all around it, but then realised it was at the back of my island and I hated walking all the way back to get things for trades and moved it right next to the airport for now
Mine is all the way at the back of the island; I gave myself a plateau on the third tier. I really like it, since I'm isolated and it's been transformed into a forest. Adds some whimsical aspects that I'm a fan off.
I moved twice because I moved first time to wrong location I wanted. Mainly Aidie was on the location I wanna move to so I had to move her then move myself again.
I haven’t moved my house but I’m considering moving it but I would need to move a villagers house out of the way first. My house is right near the shops on my island but in the way of landscaping. I’ve been considering moving it across the river so it’s still close to the shops but I would need to move Chief’s house first and I haven’t figured out where to put his house
