Have you lost a villager accidentally?

Yes! I got a second copy of animal crossing and that has pretty much became my main town now, (it's so cute and I love it so much ^_^) but I hadn't played my original game in a while so I went on today and Marina had moved out!!! I'm so annoyed as she was one of my dreamies and I loved her so so so much. Out of everyone who could've moved it had to be her I know I can get her back through the campground with the new update but still... It had really upset me!

I lost Jacques to TT'ing, and to top it off the villager that replaced him installed his house in one of my paths.

One time I had a cycling town and I accidentally voided Blaire without even knowing that she was planning on moving. Blaire is one of my favorite squirrels, what a cutie.

I lost one of my villagers a long time ago, he was given to me by a wonderful user here for free. Found out he was moving out of nowhere.

I lost Flurry from not paying enough attention for pings (no time traveling). Then I lost Bruce while doing the 16 villager cycle to get her back.

Thankfully due to amiibo cards, I was able to bring Bruce back after a 9 month absence.

I lost Genji a while back, I was trying to tt somebody else out (who was a 10th move in so basically impossible), just got careless as it was taking so long and I tried everything. Loaded up to see that Genji was leaving I did the cycle for him within 3 days and got him back. He's no longer my top favourite jock but I would still like to find his amiibo card so I've got the option to have him back again one day (he's been moved out for an amiibo villager now)

Twice, both in Granada. I ended up losing Grizzly earlier this year. He was replaced shortly after by Moe. And then in October, I lost Sydney. Just days later, Shari replaced her.

Many tbh, I used to carelessly TT to get out unwanted villagers on my old town, ended up losing so many precious Villagers.

not recently but i lost rasher once, about a month after i had finally gotten him into my town. and this was way before the amiibo card update so i worked so hard to get my all time fave villager and i lost that little ******* a month later.

i was working on a 16 villager cycle for him but it was slow and taking me ages so i'm thankful the amiibo update came out and i got my little porker back. <3

I lost Goldie due to a stupid time travelling incident. :c
I was re-arranging my bridges and time travelling a day ahead so they would be built faster, and she left. </3

I haven't. I've always been super careful when time traveling and whenever I take long breaks I always write down the last time I played and go back to that so I don't get any unpleasant surprises when I log back in.
