Have you ever transferred your alt character to another town as mayor?

Wondering: Has anyone done this since the update? How does this affect the Secret Storage room?

I did it with the update, but I didn't get the secret storage room until I got to my new town. I would assume it would come with you because it's part of your house.

You can only move them out to become the mayor of another town and it requires two game copies and two 3DS systems to start. Basically, you go to load up your character and when Isabelle asks if you need anything before starting you select the "I need something" or whatever option then you click the option to move to another town. It only works with alternate characters though, you can't move your mayor out to become mayor of another town.
