Yep it just turns back to 2012, which is really weird. Like what if i'm still alive then? i'm probably going to be really irritated that it goes back to the year 2012 since I like my game up to date. Btw you sound adorable in that video, so don't worry about it!

Yep, it does. Nintendo probably knows what happens in the future, so y'know if you're still alive in the year 2050 it might just do a 360 and turn into the year 2012.

LOL. I guess so, it might become a little hard to keep track of the date when you're 61.

I actually wanted to try this once but i'd rather not risk losing all my dreamies and favorite villagers. It was really absurd on hiw most of your villagers didn't move out, and the part where Sylvia screams "35 YEARS!?" was pretty hilarious.

It does the same thing in City Folk. After December 31, 2035(?) it turns back to January 1, 2000.

The next main AC game will probably be out before 2020 and most people will stop playing ACNL by then, so I don't know why they even have it go all the way out to 2050. It's a waste of time to program Easter dates for that many calendar years.

Interesting! I wonder when Wild World will turn back? I started my latest town in November 2015 and I'll keep playing...even if I get booted back to 2005 at some point. LOL

I think Wild World goes all the way up to December 31, 2099 and then resets back to Jan. 1 2000. I'm not sure though. I think I remembered TT to 2099 once, though.
