Okay, I'm not 100% sure if that's a word, but have you ever gotten demotivated and It caused you to take a long break from playing? Did something just turn you off? Wether it was a villager you loved moving away, a villager moving into the the absolute worst spot, or maybe your town corrupted for no reason at all? Whatever it is, feel free to share.

I haven't played in like two weeks because I need to plot reset for Marshal and I just hattteee it... It's really frustrating and I just want to play normally.

yeah , it was my first town before I restarted bc I hated the map & didn't know I could change it when I first got the game xD & the houses were all over since I never knew about plot reset & then Stitches moved away even though I tt'd two days . it just all over the place & now I learned my lesson . I took about 3 weeks away from it & was then ready for a restart xD

My favorite villager, Vesta, had moved out and on top of that the new villager replacing her moved into a horrible spot. It killed me, I stopped playing for weeks. It took me FOREVER to fix everything and get Vesta back. Now I couldn't be happier with my town. :)

yep I've been pretty inconsistent in playing AC tbh.. like, I'll be playing all day everyday nonstop like crazy (ok a bit exaggerated but yeah) then suddenly just take a break.. either bc i get the feeling my town won't be as pretty as i'd like it to be, and just generally unmotivated to continue anymore bc of that.. but then after a while I'll get the urge to play again and yep same cycle over and over again hahah

I lost motivation a few months back. Then, I lost my 3ds AND my games. I just recently found four days ago (the same day that I joined.)
I'm not gonna lie, I don't know how some people don't take breaks from the game. It's the same thing over and over. I'm motivated to play now especially since I just joined. Hopefully maybe TBT will change my mind and make me play acnl nonstop

I have never taken a rest from the game well maybe a day or two but even when busy I enter the game for a few minutes. I starting playing the game at day one on release and I managed to mantain the exact same villagers for almost 2 years. Poppy, Leonardo, Tiffany, Boomer, Wart Jr, Sylvia, Eugene, Ribbot, and Filbert.

I made the mistake of letting Peggy move out early and struggled to get another peppy at my campsite for those almost 2 years. Finally got Freckles last december, and let Filbert move out.

Then on May 10th my cartridge got corrupted unable to save anything and my hard word was lost. And even after that I bought a new game and I still play it everyday, so after mantaining the exact same villagers in like forever and then lossing my whole town I doubt I can become tired of this game.

So to speak I haven't taken a break of the game since 2013, even if sometimes I just play like 5 minutes to check the village

I have stopped and played again a couple of times. I actually enjoy the thrill of a new village when you are still starting out and new villagers come. It gets boring after a while that is why i stop for a while and start again. :)

I stopped playing back in mid-September (probs due to school and boredom) and then picked it up again in late May, and I'm still in the process of slowly TTing from then to the current time. Thankfully, my game is now in mid-May so I'm getting close.

There is a way to TT forward however many days/months/years without losing any villagers. If a villager pings you asking to move and you say no (so they decide to stay) if you then save and wind forward, no matter how far forward into the future you wind you won't lose anyone. When I picked up AC again after hiatus I wound backwards like a year just to be doubly sure I wouldn't lose anyone, then once a villager pinged me to move I wound forward a year again

I do this if I know I'm going to be too busy/want a break from the game. I wait until a villager asks to move, say no, then save and quit. When I come back, there might be a couple of weeds and my hair will be messy, but at least I know I won't lose my dreamies.
Sometimes I need a break if I've been landscaping for a while or I just want to play my second town instead.

Countless times. Though this is not rare for me. I lose my motivation for every game once in a while, actually for everything in life. Taking a break will most of the time help and if it doesn't then that means that I'm no longer interested in it.
The reason for this with animal crossing is that I'm constantly losing my patience. I think 'couldn't this be going any faster?' but on the other hand I love this aspect of the game and it makes the joy of it last longer. It's not particullary for things like unlocking shops because it would be easy enough to TT for them. But I don't have the patience nor the motivation to spend 1437 hours on TT'ing so that one villager I want in my town will move in.

I try to stick to this but then if I do take a break I always get super worried I never left on a day someone pinged to move and end up winding back anyway hahah xD

yep. if i ever cant get the items i need, i just quit altogether until boredom forces me to go back. luckily, everything seems to be going great for me, so i havent been bored in like 3 months.

but i took like a 9 month break once because all my villagers sucked. finally i came back in january and bought fang from an auction on here! and then i went back to acnl. c;
