Have you ever just had to take a break?

I was in a phase where I would play Animal Crossing New Leaf at LEAST 4-5 hours a day.
I don't TT in my main town and a lot of time was spent cycling villagers in my second town, I was so into it I actually got a 3rd copy, which remains untouched after achieving 100% on my first task thing from Iisabelle...

Anyways, I just... got bored with it and stopped playing. I went in every few days to be sure no one important moved away because I've done this before where I stopped playing about a month and when I started playing again it was great!

Not only that, but I took a break from TBT. It felt like to me all the posts were becoming the same;

'Which villager is better?!'
'so and so appreciation thread!'
'I'm thinking about resetting....'

I was sick of it. Even Re-Tail and the villager trading plaza was boring me, which is unheard of! I stalk the heck out of the villager Plaza because of my cycling and I am a major hoarder in my main town. If I see a good deal... I HAVE to have it.


Have any of you just needed a break from Animal Crossing or the TBT forums? I feel like maybe I am ready to come back now. I've missed it ​

Depends xD!Im that type of person that loves playing it but I simply cannot play it for 3-4 hours straight!1 hour max and then I have a break and in a few hours again.I have never had such a problem as you,it all depends on the person ^^

Oh of course.
I'm doing that today in fact. ^^
Sometimes you just get burned out if you do anything for too long.

TBT forums are still pretty fun though, we have a nice community here.

That's honestly probably why I needed a break. I just played it too much. I'm going to slowly get back into it.
An hour here or there.
I also think my main town has something to do with it, it's a complete mess and really hard for me to play it.

I know, I know "Just sell it!" I can't it's not that easy I have all these ideas floating around my head and I 'need' that stuff. Lol

That is part of the reason why I started a new town. I wanted to start over without losing anything, if that makes sense.

I played it constantly for a year and felt I had pretty much finished my town.
I bought Harvest Moon New Beginning and it has completely taken over but I do go back to AC just to keep my villagers and slowly keep moving forward. I will go back to it eventually but it's hard to keep finding things to do when you have completed so much.

I also like to keep;

1. DLC (Even if I have 20 of the same DLC item, unless it's re-orderable)
2. Full outfits. (Santa babyyy.)
3. Full sets. (Even re-orderable if I have an idea for it)
4. Any/all Island items. You will find a ton in my town.
5. Gracie junk.. i mean items.


I...I have a problem.
xD I think it's time for a giveaway for sure. At least SOMEONE will benefit from my hoard.
