Have you ever gotten bored of it and stopped playing?

I usually get addicted for about a month and then take a break for 4. It's not fair on the game since I love it but I can't help myself.

Oh! Well it is good to know I can keep my current villagers without losing any! If that is the case I will follow your advice to 'protect' them while I take a break! I'm sure I will want to come back to it at some point. ^-^

Yah, all the time. I actually haven't had that much motivation in a while so I hope none of my dreamies moved away :(

I stopped after seeing how stressful the game was to me. But I'll be picking it back again if I decided to make a cycling town or simply a carefree town that would let me sell some villagers.

Yeah I know exactly how you feel, I recently took a 6 month break (magically all of my villagers were still there???)

Yeah. That's actually what I'm going through right now. I'm kind of bored with it atm and I haven't played in a couple months. I check up on my town every now and then and the last time I checked my dreamies didn't move away so that's good.

That is good that you haven't lost any dreamies! I hope you able to keep them! ^-^

Yep. I played from the time the game was released until the week before halloween in 2013 and then got so burnt out from having to constantly water everything I took a 3 year hiatus. Now that I have the beautiful town ordinance up, playing again is a pleasure. plus I love the bell tree forums so I'm happy to play again! :)

I do this a lot, it seems I play all over winter and rarely over summer haha. The most annoying thing is all the dlc stuff I missed over the years. Oh well

The Bell Tree community really is great! I have met a ton of super nice people on here! ^-^

Wow... We are practically the same. I have though created a goal and sorted my dreamies. Only thing stopping me is the person who wants lolly because lolly has already been paid for lol.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how many people seem to feel this way about the game! Yeah that is one reason you would have to keep going I guess! XD

I've taken numerous breaks for months on end over the past few years. I tend to play a lot when I pick the game back up and make up for lost time, then repeat the process by taking a break. To keep my town from falling apart in my absence and to make sure none of my villagers decide to leave, I mark down the last date I played and time travel back to that same day. It's not an ideal solution for those who don't like to utilize time travel, but it's good for me since I personally find the game more enjoyable with time travel.

Yes, currently in this phase for about a month or two now. It's sad cause I want to play it I just don't have the motivation to do so. :P

I've been distracted by other things and stopped playing before, but never for long that I remember!

ya I have taken a few breaks from the game. It can get boring after awhile if I start to play too much. my longest break was probably 3 months. however since joining the bell tree forums I've become a lot more dedicated to my town :-) right now I'm keeping myself occupied by working in my side character's homes.

Yeah sometimes I obsessively play it but then I get burnt out and need to take a break to motivate myself again in like a week, 2 days time

I used to TT, then used a few cheats, and the game lost its fun. After restarting and playing the 'hardcore' way (for TT people) it regained its fun! I don't spend a lot of time on it, clear out the shops every day and maybe once a week farm for bells for a half am hour. So, I'm taking it pretty slowly but it's working for me!

I play a lot of then get tired of it, it's extremely easy to burn out for me. I take half a year hiatuses or more. I don't log on often to ACNL often, so yeah, I definitely get bored of it.
