Have you ever gotten a dreamie in your town only to realize...

Merengue, I was ecstatic when I got her but she kind of became "meh" for me. I think I prefer simple designs rather than cute and all.

Bertha. I got her in an unoriginal house once which didn't like. Luckily, I had my a backup of my game before the trade so I restored the backup and now everything is fine. I cant cycle 16 villagers.

Yes... Several "dreamies" turned out to be duds...
I get so irritated when it happens, lol. Especially if I kicked out a villager I really loved.
Like when I let go of Felicity to get Apple and ended up regretting it within days because my kitten princess just can't be replaced. :/

So I thought Pietro was going to be really cool (he wasn't a dreamie, but he was in my campsite) and this...disrespectful animal...and his AWFUL colored house parks in my elegant town. I was so sad.

Right now, I'm kind of feeling that way about Gayle. All the different colors of pink is just...hmm...too pink.

Yes. I just get too attached to some of my villagers to let them go, even the duds.
When Lobo moved away and Marina was in his place, I restarted my town in Wild World. (To be fair, Stitches had moved just a few days before that so I was already sad.)

I got rid of Kid Cat for Julian but I miss Kid Cat, I had him in my town for 7+ months.... Juilian isnt as great as everyone says he is

Ankha. I chucked out millions for her only to try and find her a new home days later. Ah well, live and learn.

I had this with Drago last year. I wanted him because he's a freaking dragon, and I'd never actually had an alligator villager before. When he moved in I was excited for like a day, but when he'd unpacked and was walking around, I just didn't seem to click with him. And I also found him quite annoying to look at for some reason, lol. After two weeks he pinged, so I let him move. Recently he's shown up in my shopping district and it's kind of cool to have him in town, but not living there :D

This is why dreamies are silly
Everyone bigs them up to be amazing and spend ages looking for them
Then they're just the same as other villagers really

I've been trying very hard to get my hands on Skye. Now that I have her... I'm not that happy. The dialouge is the same as Vesta most of the time. But I do like her design and her house. I do intend on keeping her.

No, I made sure to visit all my possible dreamies in dream addresses before I chose my final ones. I ended up disliking some villagers I thought I would love, and vice versa. Because of this, I have never wanted to get rid of any of them, or regret picking them. :)

I had this with Marshal and Julian, though I maaged to get them in my town through sheer luck and not by paying for them, so I don't regret having them. I just found them pretty boring because all they done was parrot stuff I'd heard from Zell. I kept them just because I didn't know who to replace them with until I lost my town. Now I've no interest in either of them.

I was also pretty hyped for Marina when I got her in my new town, she wasn't exactly a dreamie, but I'd never had an octopus villager in all my time playing AC and I planned on keeping her for a while. Instead I found I really didn't like her, she was too pink, lived too close to my mayors house and looked all kinds of awkward when she walked with her tentacles. Ended up getting rid of her pretty quickly.

Not to the extent of wishing they didn't live there, no. I love my dreamies.

I'm only slightly disappointed in Merengue. She's lovely to look at, and I get very happy when I see her walking around town. But I really don't care too much for her personality. It's just too sweet and boring. She never says anything interesting or funny. I wish she was a peppy or an uchi. I would really love her so much more.

When I first got Muffy, I found her kinda *****y. I have Fuchsia in town, who's an uchi too, and I remember she was like that at first too. So I had a little moment of panic with Muffy, then I remembered the Fuchsia situation. So I made friends with her as fast as I could, and now she's lovely! I actually like that about uchi's now. Your friendship level with them really makes a big difference.

I'm surprised that a common reason people give for disliking a dreamie is that they say the "same stuff as [other villager]". I mean...do people really expect villagers of the same personality to have different things to say? It's not exactly how the game is programmed.

I guess I only pick dreamies because I think they're cute or cool looking, so it's a bummer when someone doesn't look as cute as in their picture (kinda like online dating, lol!)

Nope. I make sure to choose my dreamies very carefully so that won't happen!
It probably won't matter though, because I'm bound to get tired of some of them and just change them out. ; n ;

No. My town is museum themed and my dreamies are dreamies because they remind me of ancient artifacts and people. The only thing I was disappointed about in the game ever was when I saw how small the second house upgrade turned out to be.
