Have you dealt with a villager who changed his/her mind about moving out?

To me happened with Muffy and I already had someone who had interest on her.
One day she went to say to another player that the mayor begged her to stay.

Such a lie since I wanted her to find a new home.

Yeah I once had this when I first started ACNL. I was so annoyed as I really wanted them out. Since then whenever it's been confirmed that they're moving I ignore that villager with all my characters so there's no chance of them changing their mind.

Usually if they change their mind about moving I just reset and avoid them until they move out.

this happened to me once, i dont remember his name, but he was like.. a sheep or a goat, and he had put his house like.. 2 squares directly behind my house. completely ruined a path i was making. he finally said he was leaving, and i tried to rush him off, but then he just... stuck around. a month later he finally left after not talking to him at all. i never talked to someone i wanted to move away ever again

In Squirrel, Goose stuck to me. He stayed for 3 whole months even when I ignored him, and when he did move out, my friend got NL for Christmas a few months after. When we played together, Goose just managed to dive into my town. He asked to move and when I told him to go, he decides he's going to stay because I look like I want him to leave.
This is why I hate you, Goose.

Yes! Fauna told me that Diva the frog was thinking of moving out, and when I asked her I told her that she can leave.
Then, Diva decided that we just didn't click, so she changed her mind and decided to stay. Needless to say, I am now stuck with that frog again lol. I was so hoping for her to move out that this kind of sucks, honestly.
