Have villagers ever given you stuff you gave them?

Today I gave Leonardo a jungle cameo shirt through the post. He apparently liked it and wore it when I saw him later. Rocket then asked me to do a delivery run to Leo. It was a 1 Ball Shirt. he liked it and put it on. As a reward, he gave me the jungle cameo shirt I just got him earlier today!

Da hell, Leonardo?! Talk about rude and thoughtless!.... Then again, he's a jock. Jocks aren't known for brains....

Have your villagers ever given you stuff that you've given them?

All the time. Julian does it to me a lot (but I still love him). It's especially heartbreaking when they try to sell it to me ლ(ಠ_ಠლ)

Well, not exactly, but once Poppy put the drumset I gave her on Toy Day for sale at ReTail. It made me kinda sad...

Like Muffy, I gave her a rococo shelf or a chair to match her other rococo series in her room. Few days later, she pings me and say "hey, so whenever I see rococo shelf on sale, I end up buying them. Now I have too many of those. Wanna buy it from me for 1600 bells?". And in my mind, I'm like 'no, pretty sure I bought that for you....' xP

I gave Ruby, Dizzy, and Fauna a shirt in the mail. Ruby and Fauna displayed the shirts in their rooms, not as good as wearing them, but I'll take it. Dizzy, on the other hand... put his shirt in Retail >.<

Not exactly, but I once had a strange chain of trading the same item. First Victoria gave Shep a paw-print wall. Then Shep gave it to me that same night. I then mailed it back to him.

I know that's not what you're asking, but it's the closest I've gotten to that.

Not exactly, Flora wanted something to replace her ukelele and I gave her an hourglass, and she put it in re-tail the very next day. I got her ukelele which is a rare club tortimer item so thats cool.

I gave a shirt to a villager(can't remember which one) and he gave it back the next day. But what bugged me more was when I Cyrano wanted me to get him a piece of furniture and he wanted to replace it the next day. I spent at least 2,000 bells on that.

My weirdest moment with this was in my first town, when I got Puddles some new furniture, and she gave me back the moray eel I caught for her. ;;;

It's both annoying and kind of funny, especially when they try to sell it back to me. Fortunately I can get it for free from them sometimes, so I can just sell it/re-gift it again. xD

Definitely. Zell's original house design has two stools so I tried to gift him one back but he declined so I sent him one in the mail and the next day he gave it to my side character -.- Happens all the time.

I'm pretty sure they have, but I've done the same thing to one of my villagers before when they gave me a request for furniture right after they gifted me something. I guess that makes us even?
