Hahaha that's the one I have, and I also hate it. But there is nothing I can really do about it now since my town is almost 3 years old and my character has all gold badges except six that are still silver... So if I were you, just starting out, I would definitely reset because I regret not doing it earlier.

I used to think of them as almond shaped eyes until someone said they are leaf shaped eyes, and they were spot on! My character's eyes look just like an animal crossing leaf. They are the best eyes in the game. Period.

make a cute mii in mii maker and wear it! a round face, some blush and cute eyes should do the trick! although the downside is you wouldn't be able to wear hats or accessories...

I use to hate my Mayor's face too (because I wanted another one), but it eventually grew on me. I liked it even more after I changed her eye color, now I think it's adorable! Like others have said, you can put on accessories or wear a mii mask so you don't really have to look at it. One accessory I think works well is the funny glasses, I think the eyes on it look cute (wish you could have actual eyes like that in game). Resetting over your face isn't worth it, not when there are such easy ways to work around it.

The Mii masks are hideous on a character's body!

To be honest, I'd reset. You can get the villagers back later, but covering up the eyes wouldn't satisfy me. One, I hate all of the accessories that cover the face. And, two, it would bother me just knowing I hated my eyes...even if I couldn't see them.

My mayors face isn't that nice either, with certain hairstyles it makes my mayor look like a boy but it just depends on which hairstyle I use. Maybe try out different hairstyles and see how you feel about your mayors face then? you may find a hairstyle that works for you, or it might even be because of the eye colour that's making you dislike it. My eyes are the small round eyes with three eyelashes at the top, and I started to not like my face, but after changing the eye colour to black and changing it to a different hairstyle I started to like my mayors' face a lot more.

hm! I'm a little unsure still bc I'm JUST starting out (yet I got most of my dreamies for that town) so I'm just a little nervous that I'll regret not resetting. Anyways I'm gonna change the eye color to black, and change my hairbow wig maybe it'll help. and yeah my face is the same @sailorcrossing thanks for all the opinions, feel free to leave more!

How do you feel about your mayors face now once changing it? are you still going to reset? Also, i'm glad I helped somewhat.
