Mine was supposed to be a fairy tale theme. I don't even know what it's supposed to be now, but I have a lot of trees so I think my theme now is a forest theme with a random lighthouse and wind turbine.
I don't even know. And it's probably a good thing it's not fairy tale themed anymore because in the 2 and a half months since I started this town, not one villager suggested any fairy tale themed stuff and by villager I mean my normal or peppy villagers even though they've been in town forever.
I haven't fully begun working on my town yet, so it's totally possible it could end up changing. I was going for a fairytale theme as well and I only just got Ellie to finally request the fairytale streetlight. I still need all the other pwps x_x
In an old fairytale themed town I ended up getting a lot of zen pwps and started liking them more than what I had, so it started to merge into a forest theme before I reset lol
This literally happens to me all the time! I feel like fairy-tale is a good fallback option for me since I really like the pastel, dreamy colours, and there are so many good furniture series to go back with it (wedding day, mermaid, princess etc.). But then I went with more of a zen theme, then I went kinda woodland. Now I'm not really sure what it is. I guess kind of rustic urban. A paradox, and I love it!
It's great to break away from the game's main themes (zen, modern and fairytale). There's nothing wrong with them, it's just that I feel like these sorts of towns way be less unique. Part of the joy of Animal Crossing is trying out random stuff together and seeing if it works, and there's literally nothing wrong with that!
Mine has changed a lot mostlyy because I only got new leaf in December and as I discovered new things my theme changed.
It started off as a pink town, then it went to a throwback town(having all villagers that I had in older games), then it went BACK to pink, then it was brown, then it was villagers that no one seems to like, then it was brown/neutral with pops of colors, then it went to pink and brown town, now it's just a rainbow flowery town and I guess my villagers are half pink/half neutral colors.
I like to think of mine as an improved version of the default village design. It's decorative enough to be personal, but original enough to be true to the game's overall aesthetic.
I've never had a theme for my towns, never even occurred to me to tell the truth. It doesn't help that my villagers never ask for the pretty pwps only the ugly crap(and this time I can't even get them to ask for a dang police station, I guess they like crime lol).
sort of? It was a fairytale town (more like Sanrio-colored town) but then it turned into a city next to the beach. And it was simply because Skye moved into my town. I love Skye, she's so cute!
Yep. About ten times. First it was going to fairy, but then I release nearly every other town is fairy / pastel based and I wanted something different. Then it was going to be a wood, forest theme, I don't know why that changed but it did. Then I was going to do a bit of a modern park feel, that didn't last long. I'm not just sort of going with the theme random though I'm thinking of changing that too.
