Has this happened to you? Animal intersection?

So I was in my town...maybe 2 minutes ago and COCO is standing by Stitches..she tells me I need to talk to him. I talk to him and my dialogue box comes up to say its going to be ok or something like that so I chose that. Then he says he's upset/depressed? Cant recall exact wording because he can't wait for the NEW ANIMAL INTERSECTION to come out!!! I was like WT? Anyone else have this happen? Is this a clue that the new Animal Crossing is on its way?

I've had this happen before. I don't think it's a clue, I just think it's a funny bit of dialogue... It's been programmed in the game since the game was released.

same lol i was like oh god and i think it's just funny too like how sometimes normals will say how they got into a new videogame where they take care of a bunch of needy animals

I've never seen this one. I usually hear something from my villagers about taking care of needy villagers in a game they're playing instead. But I still love it.
