Has this ever happened to anyone before?

Ohey guys, so I'm trying to get Kid Cat out (still.. I've TT'd through over 14 months, everyone's pinged at least 5 times each, and he's not pinged once)

But I just went to speak to him, and this conversation happened.

"*usual intro convo, I select can we chat?*

"You'll do it?! Okay I need 4 signatures, here's the form"
*bubble closes*
"You'll do it?! Okay I need 4 signatures, here's the form"
*gives form*
"I need 6 signatures, get to it!"

He didn't even mention beforehand that he wanted signatures.. Just as soon as I asked if we could chat, he sprung that convo up..

This ever happened to anyone before?

Does he do that each time you talk with him now? Or was it an isolated incident? That's never happened to me.

It's never happened to any of my other villagers before.. But KC's never asked for signatures before either

It's good to know you actually read what I wrote.

First KC didn't bring up any conversation about signatures beforehand, he just sprung the convo up.. Second, he only mentioned he needed 4 signatures, but later he said he wanted 6

Lastly, the same conversation popped up twice and in between the speech bubble closed

That is not normally how the signature conversation works.

What I mean is, is Kid Cat having regular speech patterns now, or does he still talk about signatures? I guess you just encountered a strange glitch, hopefully it doesn't persist.

I've never had this specifically happen before, but I've had another weird glitch with the petitions. I was talking to Hans and selected, "Can we chat?" Next, a completely blank text bubble appeared, which scared me a little. No matter how long I waited, no text showed up. So I mashed A and B a few times, and then Hans immediately said, "Oh thanks for helping!" and immediately gave me the petition form. I didn't even see one of those confirmation bubbles appear during the blank text bubble.

Nothing else of note every happened after that, so as long as Kid Cat is talking normally now, I think you should be fine.

Nope, he's acting completely normally, with the exception of that one conversation

That's fairly strange too.. Maybe the petitions have a few mistakes in their coding

The 4 and 6 thing is probably just a mistake in the coding or something, like how villagers sometimes refer to Uchi villagers and "he".

That is not normally how the signature conversation works.

I thought the 4 was just a typo when you were typing your post, and you meant the petition in general.
