Has the void ever given you anything good?

I know the consensus in the community is that the void is something like your grandma's basement, it's dark and scary and you don't want to be there. It's the bane of every mayor's existence. It's a feature Nintendo should get rid of. It's horrible, terrible, ghastly, wretched...

But! What if the void wasn't all that bad? What if it gave you something good, every once in a while? So, I'd like to ask you this: has anything good ever come of the void for you?

I'll start: I've adopted an original Anka twice from the void!

Nice! I once got I believe Poppy from my fiance's void. Such a cute little squirrel.

Not only didn't like them, they also both moved RIGHT in front of my house.
Also Francine. She's cool but was hoping to get Molly adopted instead.

i've definitely had a few bad move-ins thanks to the void, but i've been able to help out others by using it a few times

i can't remember a specific example, but one time i was able to give someone a dream villager they wanted through voiding and then visiting them!

Good on you and your friend! I think that's a pretty rare occurence since you can't really be sure of what the void will give you :/

I've only gotten 3 move-ins from the void in my main town so far, and they were Cesar, Ankha, and Apollo. I only liked Ankha and Apollo, but in the end, I moved all three out of my town. Cesar was ugly, so of course he had to leave, Ankha had a really awkward house placement, and Apollo turned out to be hacked, which was a shame since he was a favorite of mine. Oh, well. :/

I haven't, because I'm always full even before the cards existed. But I'll probably get awesome villagers because the person who I frequently play with had mostly moved out tier 1 and 2 villagers

it's basically like a non-existent place where villagers go when they move out and aren't adopted, etc, and the data (not sure if that's the best word) of the voided villager can then be picked up by someone else sometimes through street pass or wifi visits if you have less than ten villagers

and you can also clear your "void" by visiting someone who has a full town of ten villagers! it comes in handy so you don't accidentally give someone random move-ins

The void recently gave me Flurry. But since I just purchased the Sanrio villager cards, I'm gonna have to kick her out.

She also moved in a crappy spot. xD

It has not! I've been pretty careful with switching off streetpass when below 10 villagers. After receiving a villager from the void. I believe it was Paula The Terrible.

On the other hand, I've been diligently making sure to pass on any villagers who have packed up their things without giving me notice. Though I'm not sure to which degree recipients have been grateful for all of them. Elise for example. I know that I'm a minority Elise-fan, but I couldn't bear the thought of her just vanishing. Muffy and Felicity were probably more well received.

Honestly, I think that's why I don't turn off my streetpass, because it's sometimes exciting to see which villagers I'm getting next, and what items their previous mayor gave them, or what phrases were they taught. I think I don't contribute much to my own void population tho, because I often adopt out my moving villagers

What I meant was that Apollo had been replaced over Julian. Meaning, Apollo had Julian's home, shirt, and catchphrase. It was so awkward to see a cranky eagle saying "glitter" at the end of every sentence.

I hope so. And I wish I wasn't such a control freak about villagers. Because I really think that it's a cool feature, that you inherit the complete villager that is coming from someone's town with catch phrase, rumours and town tune and everything. But I'm as picky as most people, it seems.

Me and your friend have the same good luck, because someone just voided Rosie to my town today! Her shirt's different but I haven't seen the rest of the house yet. So excited! ! UPDATE: Her house is completely original! !

I've gotten Ankha from the void before.. I think she was mostly original, which was cool.

I got Benjamin from the void and possibly Fang but he may have been a Streetpass. Benjamin was one of my favourites in town though!
