has the amiibo glitch been fixed?

i want a villager from my brother's island and he was gonna force her out with an amiibo but i didn't want to risk ruining our games then my sister told me it finally got patched in the new update but i don't know where she got the info from and i literally can't find anything about it on google so i was wondering if anyone here knew if it's true or not

I've heard from a couple sources that its been fixed but I haven't tested it fully myself!!

All I can confirm is that Rocket was in boxes moving the day before the update. The morning of the update she was gone. I went to another island and adopted Judy, who was evicted via amiibo. This morning Judy is now on my island unpacking. Everything worked normally, even though Judy was an amiibo eviction.

I saw your thread, and didn't look into it too much, but that glitch involves villagers getting stuck moving out. 99% of us here have had no issues with villagers moving out or being kicked out. That glitch appears to be the upmost rarest of rares.

The glitch in question here is related to adopting.

To clarify, this happened after their friend attempted to adopt the villager who had naturally gotten into boxes. The villager agreed to move to their friends town but never did, and instead stayed in boxes indefinitely.

it IS related to villager trading.

I just chucked out Merengue (via Amiibo) for a friend few hours ago. I got Ankha and she seem to have gotten Merengue successfully. (I did confirm.) I'm assuming it's fixed but I'd like to have more data, imo.
