Has anyone tried this 3D Island planner?

Before now I've only seen people use the Happy Island Designer so I wonder which is easier.

I have not personally but I have tried the 2D one. This one seems like it would be more helpful since you can visualize it better!

I have! It took me a minute to get used to the controls, but I used it to plan out this cliff tier for my hybrids and a pond. It was good for counting the spaces and such.

An nice! Have you tried Happy Island Designer? (The common 2D one) if so, how do you think they compare? That's what I'm wondering aha.

I used it back when it was still on its early builds. It really helped me create the right design of my lake.

I didn't plan out my whole island on it but it was really useful in helping me understand what I could and couldn't do with terraforming.

Played around with it a little bit just now. Recreating existing terrain is easy enough and it works for very basic things like cliff and water layouts, but it does have some issues regarding what it accepts as valid terrain.

It would also benefit from having some very basic decorating items, like trees or even simple boxes could help you plan out where stuff would go. The camera is also slightly different from the in-game one, mainly because it doesn't curve, which doesn't really help if you're trying to make something look just right.

It works, but it has a long way to go.

I tried it to plan small parts of my island. not the whole island. I use the desktop version though. the website version doesn't run well
