Has anyone successfully moved out their tenth villager?

I got Canberra as my tenth villager and she needs to go but I don’t want anybody else to leave yet. Is there a way to kick out your tenth villager?

if you use amiibo at the campsite you can choose who to kick out.

edit: if you get a random villager at the campsite you can soft reset (close the game when they chose a villager before the game auto saves) until they kick out who you want.

I don’t have any amiibo cards so I have to rely on the campsite? Ugh...

I think that it is possible, just that the chance is so infinitesimally small that you shouldn't really bother trying. :/

you can get someone in a cycling town to hold on to a villager for you, then move them back in though.

I was told by another player that their 10th villager moved on their own.

i've had my "10th" villager move out twice at this point, the 10th villager themself and the animal that came to replace them!

TWICE? That’s amazing. After some TTing Canberra is not budging so it looks like I’m gonna have to kick one if my dreamies out, sigh.

it was super weird! i didn't even TT. i had another random ping in between, but it was a permanent resident so i didn't let them move out lol. i hope canberra gets out of your island soon!

Yes Rosie was my 10th and asked to move.

Yeah, it happened to me a little while ago. They were on my island for like two days and then asked to leave. I hadn't done anything in particular - I'd spoken to them fairly often, even.

Just travel back and forth between today and the day someone wants to move and it should eventually cycle to Canberra instead.

I managed by not talking to her after the initial move in dialogue. Took about a month before she finally pinged to leave
