I was looking at some new games, and I've really been looking into Tomodachi Life.
To someone that has played it, what do you think?
Is it fun, worth the 35 dollars?

A whole bunch of us play it. Check out the thread in the Nintendo board. Definitely worth $35.

I just finished the demo version and that made up my mind. I want this game! It seems a little monotonous right now, but I know that's only because I can have three islanders and can't unlock any of the things. I have a feeling that the full version will be very addictive ^.^

I'm getting the full game soon, because the demo made it look super fun. I wasn't so sure whether to get it at first though, since I'd heard mixed views about it.

Apparently it's a game which you either love or you hate.

While Tomodachi Life is a good game on its own, $35 is too much to ask considering on how shallow is the game. I mean, if you try to play longer than 15 minutes, you would be likely getting bored of its repetitiveness nature of taking care of your Miis. Unlike Animal Crossing: New Leaf, there's always something to do on every five minutes of gameplay, but most of them are essentially the same tasks you've encountered minutes ago. That's what you'll eventually encounter in the full game regardless on how many Miis on the island. Also, the dialogues I've seen so far are too simplistic to efficiently represent said Mii's personality. I wish they were on par with ACNL's writing.
Part of the game's appeal is how your Mii representation of yourself (or people you actually know) reacts among various situations and the game's WarioWare-style humour getting you to smile. For example, Wario actually ending up marrying some random Japanese girl made me laugh. That's the only major redeeming factor of the game

As a owner of the Japanese version of the game, I'm having a hard time recommending this game. If you can find it for cheap enough, then go ahead. Otherwise, keep your hard-earned bucks for something much better than Tomodachi Life.

When I first heard it I thought it was going to be a good game to play, but then when I heard this game was for Miis I said "No Way!" That's why i'm not getting it.

Basically how I feel about the game.
The only fun part is seeing where your mii's end up. It's a simple game you can play for like 5-10 minutes everyday, but yeah don't bother. Just save your money and wait for it to go on sale.

Yeah, this. I was curious about it because so many people are "must have!", but I've watched some LP's on YouTube and I was rather "Wait, that's it?" about it. I can understand why people like this game because it's indeed quite funny, but it's not something I'd enjoy and play for a long time (*). I know myself and I'd get bored of it super quickly.

(*) Then again, this game is probably not meant to be played for longer periods of time, but when I play a game I tend to play for a few hours, so this game isn't for me.

Individuals of the same gender are not permitted to get married. Nintendo has pledged to include it in the next instalment of the series, but, I'm boycotting this one.

Boycotting a game just because of... I'm sorry, but what?

I loving the game so far :) I was initially hesitant, with that anti-LGBTQA label and all that on it. However, after seeing Nintendo's promise, I was okay with it. I also have to agree with the video above, the second I saw the whole scandal, I remembered that Japan is very different from the West.

Well if you really wanted to have homosexual relationships in the game you could make a female Mii look male or vice versa. Sure they'll have a dress on when you first start the game but you can give them male clothing from the store.

But it's not the same as actually having two male characters. They'll still ask if it's okay to try for a child, and weddings will feature one in a dress.
