Has anyone ever affected your town you while visiting?

Nothing bad (in town) so far. I try to make rules clear before trading/ having people over, and I only have a few friends who I play with, but we each have full range of each other's towns, I wouldn't dream of them doing something shady in my town, and I would never take advantage of them giving me access to their towns while they aren't there.

There was one time when I was distributing DLC (and less legitimate DLC) and some kid stopped by for a bit of free cash. I gave him $200k and then turned my attention to the person who wanted the DLC. The kid took an entire ten thousand Bells more than he was supposed to and I went on about my day. I had five hundred million bells and he didn't take any DLC, so I didn't care.

Nothing bad so far, I guess I've just been lucky. I basically only trade with people on here though. I used to use Tumblr a lot as well, but still no issues.

I can never be bothered to follow people around, I've had a ton of people in and out if I'm hosting turnip selling, and my hybrids and stuff are everywhere. And never had anything stolen or destroyed. So I guess that says something about this community! c:

Nothing negative! Lots of positive though! WonderK dropped off blue roses in my town so I could breed them, and I didn't even ask for them *o* Some people are just so generous and nice! But it's very sad to read about all of these negative experiences

I've had three different people steal hybrids and stuff from me. All of them were gameFAQS users, and one of them had been going on a spree, stealing rare items and stuff from everyone she had added on her friend list. I had a friend in my town selling crowns, so I just ended the session when I realized what she was doing. I lost some flowers, but she must not have had any space in her pockets, because she left some clothes and a cool globe behind. I kept the globe, but I felt bad about it later when I realized she must have stolen it from someone else.

My brother steals my fruit when he comes by. All's fair though, we alternate raiding each other's perfect orchards and split the bells. Other than that there is a lot of "trash talking" that goes on the bulletin board. Things like "GARY WAS HERE, ASH IS A LOSER" and "VAL SMELLS". ^w^

Once, someone didn't pay me a full 10m for my villager, she only did like 7m which isn't so bad. Another girl ran over my only purple rose and didn't even apologize after I said you ran over my flower.

Oh, If I remember correctly I have had absolutely nobody demolish my town or stole stuff at all. Guess I was darn lucky at those times in the past.

I had all my trees chopped down and everything destroyed! Well I didn't have a account here yet and I just went to his town and chopped down all his trees!

Once I had someone visiting and at one point she just disappeared. I noticed that a few golden roses were missing. It was just a few and they were at the corners of a rather narrow path, so she probably just ran them over by accident. I flipped the wifi since it wasn't a trade or anything and they came back. I never found out where she went though :/

Just to clarify, you guys do shut off your game when these things happen, right? Because you don't have to deal with the consequences.

I haven't had anything happen to me in my town, but that's mainly because I visit 99% of the time and hardly ever host. I just enjoy seeing others' towns more than showing off my own.

Well someone left me a bunch of bells randomly when I wasn't there. I forgot that I'd left my gate open, and someone obviously came; dropped me some bells, and then left. It's a shame I couldn't thank them and beg them to take them back because I don't need them.

Another time someone destroyed my town, however it didn't save like that because I caught them just in time. I'm so glad that there's a wifi switch.

This wasn't a malicious incident or anything, but I was being shown how to go under the town with a glitch, and I ran and destroyed my own flowers. I flipped the switch, so the damage never happened.
