Has anyone else been doing this?

I have time traveled in the past, but while it was a blast at first, then I burned out. Each new day forward was a tedious repeat of money rock and fossil hunting. Just keep moving forward looking for the furniture I was after, and always trying to remember the date. Some days I just couldn't work myself up enough to play, and if I missed a day, I might miss an item I was after. So I had to remember the date, so if necessary, I could travel backwards. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah, same for me. I have time traveled in all past animal crossing games. I never looked on any forums animal crossing related so I had no idea it was looked down upon. Since I've been waiting for this game for about 2 years I don't wanna burn myself out. Although time traveling is tempting sometimes, taking it day by day is so much more rewarding. In my opinion, time traveling just gives you a quick fix. You'll get bored of the game in no time. But it's your own game so play however you want! It's not hurting anyone, so I wouldn't worry about it!

I've time traveled in all my other Animal Crossing games (GameCube, DS and Wii) but I'm going to try my best to not do that for New Leaf :) Though I kind of did it once... I went to the next day so I could buy a fishing pole (once I saw a shark fin in the water I couldn't wait any longer!) but once I purchased one I went back to the present time. Whoops!

I've been TTing to cycle villagers out! I've been trying to get a bridge right by my waterfall, but there is a house in the way, so I've been try ingot I get him to move out so I can put in the bridge! I don't consider it cheating, but I think some people look down on it, and those who don't usually think that they are so much better than those who do.

I consider it cheating, but I do it anyway, and I think it's ok. I didn't for the first few months of playing. Once I started, I couldn't stop. It's fun either way to me, but after a certain point, it's actually MORE BORING not to time travel IMO. Also, there's NO WAY my town would look as good (again IMHO :p) if I hadn't TT'ed. I see the appeal of playing it slowly, if you don't care about completing your catalog, museum, etc. It would take YEARRRRRS!

Oh! haha, the person who bumped it probably found it from a search or something, and then decided to comment. IDK why people get so annoyed about bumping old threads. If others keep commenting, obviously it's a topic of interest.

I don't consider it cheating since the TT feature is built into the game, and it isn't a good argument to say,"It connects with the 3DS clock, its there so you can fix the time."If someone wants to fix the time they can fix it on the 3DS clock. It would be cool to have resetti monitor and punish people who do that like resetting.

I TT.I am extremely impatient. If I don't,I get bored because you can only do so much in a day of AC.

It's not cheating but it's Time Travelling. You should play your game in whatever way you want, you're not really harming anyone by doing that. Personally, I like to wait but I'll adjust the clock on days when my schedule wouldn't allow me to make the most out of my village on that day.

I don't understand why people call it "cheating" since it's a feature that the game allows players to do. People can play however they want and they shouldn't have to be accused of being cheaters :p
I time traveled a bit when I first got the game because of my impatience, haha. Then I restarted my town after a month or so and I haven't tt'ed in this one. The slow pace is nice sometimes ^^

Wait.. This thread is almost a year old. Why do people bump such old threads? Ugh -.-

2013 guys. June 2013 was when this thread was made.

To be on topic: I like TTing. You actually have to work to get the items in the game.
