has anyone discovered tricks to get rid of a villager shirt?

so tired of reporting marshal to isabelle every other day every time he wears that cavalier shirt a villager delivered for him. but he looks like a small priest it's ridiculous.
the only way i could think of is to gift him clothes everyday until the shirt i don't want clears up. would that work?

Yeah if you gift him enough clothes, he will eventually stop wearing the cavalier shirt and might gifting it to you.

I have a problem like that with Poppy, I gave her this cute hat to put on and I thought she'll put it over her ear..but instead she put it behind her head and now it looks like a bump behind her head.

That's actually really cute haha! Unfortunately, I think reporting to Isabelle only removes custom designs, and only for the day that you reported (not permanently).

I adopted Audie from another player who had gifted her a couple outfits, plus a hat. She gave me the hat early on, but I have gifted her multiple outfits in her preferences as well as built our friendship up, and she stills wears the outfits from the other player once or twice a week it seems.

If you give them stuff the will stop wearing the old stuff! Hope this helps.
