Has anybody saw strange letters that your villagers showed you?

One day, sometime after getting Margie and chatting with her a couple of times, she showed me a letter that said this: "ha ur elephant like toterlllly"*

Did anyone else experience a letter like that?

No. I wish they did though. Usually my villagers like to show me the first letter I sent them saying that they consider it their most prized possession. Sometimes it makes me cringe.

About a week after I adopted Pinky she showed me a letter from her former mayor that said something like "Good luck in your new town.I'm gonna miss you you big ******!" and Pompom showed me a letter that was written in Italian.

When I didn't know the game mechanics hardly at all, I sent a letter to Mint that said, "I like you so much! Please don't move away! I'll pay you!" lol

I've seen one that only said "Hi." and something to Kid Cat about muscles or whatever.

If you got the villager off someone else, then those letters are the letters sent by the original owner.

wait that's actually really sad aww and i had a chief back in my old town and he had a letter from his old mayor that said something like "just accept things - mwhahaahahaha" like what?

Well my villagers haven't shown me anything yet, but I'm guilty of sending weird messages lol... I sent them those letters before I even knew that they'll show off letters even after moving in a new town..

I used to dislike Lucky, and when I saw him in my campsite, I took him in because I planned on selling him after a while (sorry... I was dumb and poor back then) then I sent him a letter that went something like "Hi honestly I don't really like u but whatever. you'll make me rich when I sell you lmao"

ashdfjdkdljk then I started to like him and everytime he showed me that letter I die inside everytime.. Now, I don't know what his new owner would say when Lucky shows that letter T__T

omfg same!!! when I was new I didn't think that they'd show letters! I wrote things like "Thanks for being a nice friend! I hope we'll continue to be great friends! --love, your great friend and mayor" GOSH.... and I've traded them too so they'd probably shown those letters arghghghfjf

In Wild World, villagers would show any letter they had previously received, even ones got them from other players. I used to think this was hilarious, and I miss that in New Leaf. In NL the villagers only seem to ever show the first letter you send them (which for me is always a boring 'welcome' note).

In WW, Cube once showed me a letter he got in a previous town, where the girl had written it like a page from a diary. It was something like: "Dear Diary, he didn't even notice me today. Why is this happening to me? I like him so much..."

Colton often shows me a letter he got from his previous mayor... Something about Colton in his underwear.
Needless to say, I always feel uncomfortable xD

Things like this are why I always go to Isabelle before a villager moves and go through the problematic villager thing and tell her they've got a naughty letter. That way all the letters are gone.

When I got the game it was my first ever crossing, so I didn't know about how letters worked.
My first move in was Pietro.... I dislike clowns very much, but apparently people really like him?
I wanted him out, fast! My first tt was to cycle him away!!
I sent him a letter hoping it would help him want to move (didn't knowing about the ame at the time)
Anyway I wrote: "I think you would fit in better elsewhere. Please leave."
I feel horrible about it to the day. Even if he made me cringe

I wrote a letter that just said "BUTTSEX" and now that villager shows me that letter all the time.
