I watched it yesterday after I were parking-guard on a football match in the rain and I think it was pretty awesome.
I really liked when Ron's mom said: Not to my daughter, you *****
Also please put the spoilers in well, spoilers.

Oh, man it was great ending to the series. Although, it didn't have same emotional effect that the first did. Also, something quite ironic. was walking out of the theater when a group of people were standing there saying how, "It was defiantly open for a sequel, and there's defiantly going to be another one." =p

That is not ironic. Furthermore, it is spelled "definitely" not "defiantly". "Defiantly" is an adverb that ascribes a property of defiance to a verb or other adverb.

I don't quite think what you have in that there spoiler is well... a spoiler? Considering that is was in the book that was released 4 years ago.

But...
I loved the scene where Snape went back to the house after Harry's parents died.

I'd only been up for like 5 minutes. Still asleep basically.

Yeah, which some people haven't read. And either way there is very little specific non-book content that could possibly make up a movie-only spoiler.

I felt like whoever directed this film took a lot more creative liberty than in the others. Not just by changing or reinterpreting how a certain event occurred, but he or she straight up invented some parts.

The Snape part could've been more subtle and simultaneously more clear. I wish he hadn't said "You have you mother's eyes.", because I don't recall that being in the book. It would've been a lot more subtle and poignant if the viewers had to come to their own realization about that scene. At the same time, if someone hadn't read the book all those flashback scenes could've seen confusing. Perhaps I will just never be happy, because Snape is my favorite character in the series.

^ If I remember right, he did.

My opinon on the movie is that it was excellent, and not much was deducted from the book, instead things were changed a little bit. Why? Because during the filming some of the pyrotechnics burned down the original set. They actually shot quite a bit of the movies at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios. It was a big to-do here quite a while ago. I have to say the effects were excellent, the story was unbeatable when it came to comparison to the book, and Alan Rickman as well as the rest of the cast truly put their 'all' into the filming. It was a pleasant surprise after the disaster that was the 6th movie.

One thing however, is that the part 1 of the 7th duo is mostly the quiet, calm things. There is NOT that much action, while this movie makes it seem non-stop. For those of you that would like to see in in 3D:

The 3D is very well done. It's the quality you would expect of a potter movie. Beware real 3D however, it is not true 3D and it will not ever live up to the expectations of a true 3D movie. It's fine for an upscaled film or remastered, however this was shot for IMAX, and should be seen in an IMAX theater only. Not all scenes ARE 3D and if you are truly interested in seeing the movie in this format, then you will have to deal with quite a few things not having the 3D approach, as all 3D movies are. While personally, I would not pay to see the movie in 3D again, as the regular HD format is just as appeasing, it is an experience that you may enjoy.

I've seen it twice. Once on Opening Night and once the Day After. If you've never read the books, I highly reccomend you watch movies 1-7.5 again just to make sure that you've covered all of the details that have yet to be revealed, as everything in the movie definitely comes to a close detail-wise here.

Happy moviegoing.

I agree with Ciaran's spoiler! It was really emotional.

Anyway, I saw it at midnight. As an avid Harry Potter fan, I think the final movie provided the proper closure for the series. Although the ending was kinda cheesy...

I didn't find the epilogue cheesy at all. They kept it short and simple, and I think that's why everyone liked it so much.

It was extremely cheesy. It was in the book as well. It was too much of a classic happy ending imo. Plus, calling your kid by his/her full name just for the sake of telling the audience who he/she was named after... ehh. I understand it was meaningful and probably necessary, but it came off as being silly.

personally, id rather watch cars 2. but that's just me and my love for british spies.

In that case I'd just watch James Bond and forget cars 2 ever existed. The poly models in it are just.. bad, it's not at all up to Pixar's usual quality. It looks like a summer internship project.

Yeah, Cars 2 is Pixar's first bad movie. I'd say Cars 1 as well, but I honestly haven't seen it.

Out of all Pixar's movies, Cars 1 and 2 are the only movies with TERRIBLE ratings and reviews. After the horrible feedback on Cars 1 it baffles me why they made a second movie.

Merch sales. What little boy doesn't like cars?
