Hard Copy vs. Digital Download

I have one of each!

Digital: My themed town. More into PWPs, landscaping, paths, etc. I TT in this one. I collected the villagers I wanted to fit my theme, and they will never be allowed to move. Mwahaha.

Hard copy: My "casual" town. Playing for fun on a day-to-day basis--no TTing. Letting my villagers rotate around depending on what I feel like. No worrying about running over grass or anything.

Wait, if you have both hard and digital copies on the same device they are two separate towns?

*cowers in the face of enthusiasm*

IT'S... IT'S STILL KIND OF A WIP, ahahah

Have you ever played the game, Alice: Madness Returns for xbox360 or ps3 or PC(i think)? I just bought it like two weeks ago and my mom and I have been playing together it's so much fun it's like a really demented and twisted story that kinda makes you depressed but the game is really fun! The game also comes with a download for the original (A:MR is a sequel form a 2001 game) that really dated but still kinda fun. You don't have to play the original to understand the sequel. Check it out when you get the chance it's really cool!

I'm actually a HUGE fan of the Alice games, especially Madness Returns! I love how dark and twisted it is. <3

Yes me too! My mom was originally the one who wanted it and i was kinda like "ehh okay" but then we started playing and fell in love! Have you read the back story? It's so sad.

I have a physical copy because I cant allow myself to trust digital copies, I'd be way too worried about data corruption!

Physical, I like having the cases stacked up. And smelling inside for the first time.

Physical copies are more likely to corrupt, if you pop the game out on accident while playing. Can't do that with a digital!

Yeah I could've used my employee discount to get it but we didn't have any in stock so I bought some nintendo currency and bought it on my 3ds cause I was impatient.

I swear gamestop have an online store in which you can purchase a download code for AC? Whenever I buy digital games I always search for it on an online gaming shop as on many occasions games have actually turned out to be cheaper when purchased from a middle-man as apposed to directly purchasing it from the e-shop!

OH, and I bought the digital version so that I would never have to worry about losing the cartridge. Also, if lose my 3DS I'll be able to redownload it for free :)

I have the digital. It wasn't a choice, the shops were all sold out (whoops, didn't preorder because I didn't even know about it until after it was out.) But, I drop my DS so much that if it was a hard copy it probably would have popped out and corrupted by now.

Um, kind of! What you can do, is when you go to a GameStop you can buy the code for AC or a game, and then it'll show up in your Power Up Rewards account and on the receipt. That's what my sister did.
Here's a link to the gamestop with the options 3DS and Available for Download selected. http://www.gamestop.com/browse/nintendo-3ds?nav=28-xu0,131a2-a You can buy the codes online and link your PUR account to the code so you never lose it.
That way you get points for your purchase as well so you can use it towards coupons, merch, etc through gamestop

Ohh, interesting! Haha, I'd totally use it if I wasn't already using "GAME". There aren't many gamestops in Britain, GAME mostly dominates as the #1 videogame highstreet store.
I understand what you mean though, It's pretty much the same for GAME as well.

Oh! I didn't know you were in Britain, how cool :) Yeah, I guess GameStop can't really help you then.. well actually technically it probably could you could still buy downloads online. maybe? lol i don't know. But I've never heard of GAME so I'll have to check it out!

Three hard copies ><;;; I don't like digital copies on uhh... Hm. Let me retry that. I don't like digital copies on the 3DS because they take 900 years to load on the menu? Exaggerating, of course, but it's quite irritating. Plus, I like being able to take it out and switch it... It's how I've done it since I was playing Pokemon Red. I DO lose cartridges sometimes; but permanent loss is always due to my mother/my sister, either cleaning out my room or stealing it in my sister's case. (RIP Pokemon Pearl and a few others, and RIP Pokemon Crystal, whose internal battery died)

The only issue with having 3 cartridges of the same game is. Uh. Yeah. I wrote 1, 2 and 3 on the backs of them so I know which is which, but switching them IS kind of a pain. :X Maybe I should've gotten one digital, but I didn't have any giftcards or whatever for the Nintendo eShop. So I just switch them out whenever I need to :'D

I have 2 hard copies. I don't tend to lose things so that was never a fear. I just like actual, physical things :)
