Happy neighbors?

Bruce and Tammy were talking to each other, and make each other happy where they were "singing". I've seen this happen before, but then I turned to Rod who had this HUGE smile on his face... It was actually pretty creepy... I talked to him, and he mentioned something about taking a break. After that, he went back to his normal face. Bruce and Tammy were still happy, though... Do neighbors just have really creepy smiles when they want you to take a break, or did something else cause this? That kind of freaked me out

Im not entirely sure, once zucker was talking to marina and they had an argument then when I turned around beau was whistling and then I spoke to him and he told me to take a rest, im not really sure unless its just coincidental that they seem happy, im not really sure lol, but now im having really freaky visions of rod with a big wierd smile...

This happens a lot in my town. After five minutes of walking around or staying idle without going into a building, the game will allow villagers to talk to each other. Sometimes they'll have a "!" or "?" when they're in front of each other. You can press A to catch what they're talking out. There's a lot of great conversations you'll see them having.

The outcome is either a) they're happy and they'll smile/whistle your town tune, b) they walk away like it's no big deal, c) they get sad and will sulk around for a few minutes, or d) get pissed. Be aware if you don't engage with them, there's a possibility they will change their clothes or change their catchphrase. If you're trying to keep them original, trapping them with holes does wonders, lol.
