My HHA Showcase of homes is FULL!!
Absolute chocka block...

My partner is also playing ACNL but I never see his home or his avi in my HHA showcase. I wonder if I have to delete some of the homes that I don't need or if maybe it only shows up after they get a few expansions (he has done his main house first floor to max).

Are we missing something??

Also when you delete houses, do you register or don't register if you want to still display their house if you happen to spot pass them in future? IT MAKES NO SENSE! do I not register them, or is it don't register them to a list of names that you no longer want to see!

You should be able to streetpass each other, assuming you both have streetpass enabled. If your partner is new to the game, maybe he hasn't talked to Digby yet. I've been able to get between 500-600 streetpasses without ever manually deleting a house, and several of these are barely upgraded at all, one room houses; however, once you hit 20 in a row, you do have to enter and leave the showcase in order to receive more. Try checking homes which are grey with a yellow outline? Those are houses of people you've streetpassed before, and if you're around each other a lot, you may have streetpassed more than once without noticing. Once you find each other, maybe set his house to favorite so you don't lose it. The only other thing I can think of is that maybe both your DS's are automatically connecting to your home internet (or his) instead of enabling streetpass.

Congrats! I finally filled mine today (and sadly streetpassed a load more houses I didn't even get to look at).

No idea why you wouldn't be streetpassing your partner -- is he streetpassing other people? Could he have it turned off?

As far as deleting people -- there are two reasons to delete a house. If you know you're going somewhere you'll streetpass you can delete small houses you don't care for so you don't lose a cool house, in which case you would just delete them, but you don't want to register them -- the next time you streetpass them they might have a great house!

But if you are deleting a house/player for another reason (today I did that for the first time because someone's catchphrase was seriously, vilely offensive) that is why you register them as someone you never want to streetpass again in any game.

Make sure you guys didn't accidentally block each other, that happened with my brother and a friend. Go to settings and reset blocked users.

sounds like it - definitely check his game. I had a friend who never turned spotpass on (in the first menu of the game) for weeks and weeks and couldn't understand why they never got spotpass houses.....so it could be something as simple as that. Good luck!

I almost never get new houses. I have like 4 that aren't the ones Nintendo sends to NA.
But then again I shouldn't really complain because I never take my 3DS anywhere xP

Yeah, that was a big issue for us as well! For normal streetpassing and spotpass houses I'm just going to keep 4-5 spots open at all times (I've been inspecting hovels this morning for deletion). Picking favorites is a lot harder though. I faved my RL friends, a couple houses I want to order from, and a few that are really exceptional looking to get ideas from.

In my case there were only really a couple houses worth favoriting. I see a lot of people with balloon/fortune cookie/common island items in their houses, so I can't order from them and honestly it's not very interesting. Sure, these items can't be bought the normal way, but they aren't rare or hard to get. I streetpassed a few people who appeared to be gunning for the HRA top prizes though, and had several complete series of furniture in their homes, or almost complete. Favorited these so I can go back and complete the series myself! I even managed to assemble a complete rococo series by combining the contents of a few of them. The only other houses I favorited were a few with a bunch of the Japanese DLC items, but I'll probably unfavorite them when I order it all. I want to set up a kind of DLC room in my house somewhere with reorderables for people who streetpass me.

I had half a dozen or so houses in my HH Showcase and looked through them (they were all new, as I hadn't played in a long time). After having someone over to my town, I went back to look at a couple again, but Digby told me that there had been remodeling recently, and the only house showing was for the person who had just visited. Does it automatically clear things when you go online?

This is strange, it doesn`t clear out houses when I go online, in fact it never cleared out any houses. So you streetpassed with your visitor? Did you do something with your SD card? Is it a downloaded game? Did you insert your game to another 3DS if it?s a cartrigde game?

I'm guessing that it was a glitch, since everything I've been able to find, as well as what people here are saying, is that it shouldn't have done that. Guess I'll have to start over with trying to collect houses.

I only have two homes in my Westerly Happy Home Showcase so far.

If you have two 3DS you can get all the other towns houses in your showcase.
Favorite the first one and than get the other town to change the house in the showcase.
Next time you streetpass yourself you'll get the new house. Favorite it and both stays.

I just shut down Town Lolly for awhile. One showcase house is full of DLC and clothing. There just in case I need it.
No opening the game and waiting abunch of days for a mover.

Thanks for all your help, everyone. I feel like a complete fool, though.

Turns out, the houses aren't gone. What happened was that the people are no longer standing in the entryway, except for the one nearby person who I visit back and forth with. The others are all in a wing, outside their houses. I should have run through the areas, instead of freaking when I didn't see them in the entry. I guess you have to have favorited/friended someone for them to stay there and give you balloons/ice cream/etc.?

Anyway, I appreciate the help!
